    The Everly Brothers, Don and Phil, had 49 hits, 1957-68, and charted one final song in 1984, On The Wings Of A Nightingale. Four of their 15 top-ten hits went to number one: Wake Up Little Susie, All I Have To Do Is Dream, Bird Dog and Cathy's Clown. Among their other hits are Bye Bye Love, Problems, Let It Be Me, Poor Jenny, Crying In The Rain, Til I Kissed You, Walk Right Back and When Will I Be Loved. Phil died in January 2014.

    Micki Grant, born Minnie Perkins, starred in the 1972 Broadway musical Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope and won a Grammy award for writing the score. She wrote music and lyrics for 17 other musicals including Eubie!, Step Lively Boy, The Prodigal Sister and Your Arms Too Short To Box With God.. Grant also wrote Dodie Stevens' 1959 hit Pink Shoe Laces, played attorney Peggy Nolan on Another World, 1966-73, and played Helen Tynan on Guiding Light, 1982-84.

They took their name from Unemployment Benefit Form 40, an attendance card issued by the Department of Employment to people claiming unemployment benefits. He was 63 and was a.member of the group from its founding in 1985 until 1996.
