Peter Yarrow, Paul Stookey and Mary Travers began singing as a trio in 1961 in Greenwich Village, New York. They had a number-one hit in December 1969 with Leaving On A Jet Plane, written by John Denver. Among their other hits are Lemon Tree, If I Had A Hammer, Puff The Magic Dragon, Blowin' In The Wind, Day Is Done, Too Much Of Nothing, I Dig Rock & Roll Music and Don't Think Twice, It's All Right. Travers died in 2009.
