    Ed Bruce and his wife Patsy co-wrote Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys and his recording of the song reached #15 on Billboard's country chart in January 1976. A remake by Waylon Jennings & Willie Nelson was number one for four weeks in March 1978. Ed and Patsy, with Bobby Borchers, wrote When I Die, Just Let Me Go To Texas, a #52 hit for Ed Bruce in September 1977 and, retitled Texas (When I Die), a #5 hit for Tanya Tucker in Februry 1979.
