    Brothers Randy and Robbie Bachman founded Brave Belt with Chad Allan in 1971 in Winnipeg. After Allan left in 1972, Fred Turner and a third brother, Tim, joined the group and it became Bachman-Turner Overdrive. Robbie was a member from 1971 to 1979 and from 1988 to 2005.
