Obama is confident Biden will "surround himself with good people – experts, scientists, military officials who actually know how to run the government and care about doing a good job running the government and know how to work with our allies and who will always put the American people's interests above their own." Contrast that with King Donald's boast of surrounding himself with "the very best people" – and then take note of how many hundreds of those "very best people" have resigned, been fired or been put in prison.

Obama's endorsement came one day after Senator Bernie Sanders voiced his support for Biden.

On April 15, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren endorsed Joe Biden for President. That evening, speaking with he MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, Warren said she would gladly be Biden's running mate if he asked her. On April 17, two polls of Democratic voters were released. In Wisconsin, Warren was the favorite choice for Vice President. In Michigan, Warren was second behind Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Warren is likely to become Biden's running mate. Now if she could just quit beginning almost every sentence with "So..."

The orange-skinned "White House virus" continues to show the world how racist, bigoted, xenophobic, deranged, demented and dangerous he is.

Trump's 'evil' claims about Asians and coronavirus could be 'key factor' in election: Andrew Yang
    Yahoo Finance. Apr 23 2020 10:03 PM

In a new interview with Yahoo Finance, former Presidential candidate Andrew Yang said discrimination against Asian Americans in the wake of the novel coronavirus outbreak could emerge as a key issue facing President Donald Trump as he faces re-election. "It’s heartbreaking what's happening to Asian Americans around the country. To me, this is one of the pivotal issues for Trump," Yang told Yahoo's On The Move. Fueled by xenophobia, Trump, Republican lawmakers and conservative members of the media have perpetuated a false association between the virus, which originated in Wuhan, to Americans of Asian descent, who have been on the receiving end of racist attacks. Trump has repeatedly referred to the illness as the "Chinese virus."

It's too bad Biden can't bribe voters with $1,200 checks the way King Donald the First did.

Biden, Democrats enter a joint fundraising agreement for November election
    Reuters, Apr 24 2020 2:29 PM

Joe Biden and the Democratic National Committee have agreed to a joint fundraising accord that will allow the former Vice President and likely Presidential nominee to raise more money and compete on a more equal footing with Republican President Donald Trump in the November 3 election. The accord, announced today by the DNC, allows the candidate's "Biden Victory Fund" to raise a maximum donation of $360,600 from individual donors, with the limit of $5,600 going to Biden's campaign and the rest earmarked for the DNC. Biden has been trying to close his money gap with Trump, who has long had a similar arrangement in place with the Republican National Committee.

Four years ago, older voters favored Trump over Clinton by a 9% margin. In 2020, older voters favor Biden over Trump by a 9% margin. Can we call this "the circle of life"?

King Donald the First believes allowing Americans to vote by mail will benefit Democrats. It won't, of course. It won't really benefit either party – but try telling that to King Donald. If he thought tens of millions of Americans would catch the COVID-19 virus by voting at public polling places but he would win re-election, he would be just fine with that. All he cares about is himself, his party and the wealthiest Americans.

Pelosi says Democrats will push for vote by mail in next coronavirus relief package
The President opposes mail-in voting and has urged Republicans to fight the effort.

Justin Amash, who represents Michigan's 3rd Congressional District in the House Of Representatives, was initially a Republican. Last year he became an independent. Now he's a Libertarian – and he's planning to run For President. In 2016, Amash opposed Trump's candidacy. In May 2019, Amash was the first Republican to call for Trump's impeachment. In December 2019, Amash was the only non-Democrat to vote in favor of either of the two articles of impeachment. Will Amash's candidacy help Biden? Trump? Neither? I'll have to find out what Gary Johnson, Ralph Nader, Strom Thurmond, Ross Perot, Eugene Debs, George Wallace and John Anderson think about this.

Justin Amash wants to destroy the system that created Trump
But critics fear his third-party White House bid will only serve to reelect the President.

Is Justin Amash a Threat to Biden or to Trump?
Democrats shouldn’t freak out just yet. It’s just as likely that in November he could hurt the President.

British online gambling site 888sport has Kamala Harris (+150) as the favorite to be Biden's running mate. Next are Amy Klobuchar (+350), Elizabeth Warren (+450) and Michelle Obama (+800). Last week, in response to a question from S.E. Cupp, Jill Biden told CNN it would be "wonderful" if Biden picked Michelle. However, she added, "I think she's done with politics." Yes. Yes, she is.

The Associated Press, Apr 30 2020 9:37 AM

Joe Biden has announced the four co-chairs of his vice presidential vetting team, starting the search for his running mate in earnest. They are former Connecticut Senator Chris Dodd, Delaware Reresentative Lisa Blunt Rochester, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and Apple executive and longtime Biden aide Cynthia Hogan. They will work with vetting teams led by former White House counsel Bob Bauer, campaign general counsel Dana Remus and former homeland security adviser Lisa Monaco to evaluate Biden's options and collect information on each candidate to help him make his decision.
