"We're in a battle for the soul of America," says Joe Biden. Often. Because of the chaotic Presidency of lying, cheating, crooked, corrupt, dishonest, racist, bigoted, self-serving Donald Trump, who is enabled by the Congressional Republicans who have sold their souls to him, the soul of America is facing its greatest threat and greatest danger since the Civil War. Three hundred seventeen days till Election Day.

Opinion: How Trump has given Biden a major campaign boost
Julian Zelizer, CNN, Dec 21 2019 3:00 PM

After three years of his chaotic presidency, President Donald Trump has made nostalgia a big, bold idea among Democrats. This is one of the secrets to former Vice President Joe Biden's ongoing success in the polls. The President, with the full support of his party in Congress, has pushed politics so far off-kilter that Americans are desperately yearning for normalcy in the Oval Office. Trump has blown up an already volatile political atmosphere with the way he governs. His vitriolic tweets, his aggressive use and abuse of presidential power, his punitive policies, his smashmouth attacks on opponents and his total disregard for the conventions and norms of Washington have created a toxic atmosphere where everything feels upended.

To many Democrats, the nation is in a true state of crisis. Democrats are desperate for stability and Biden's promises seem attractive, even as his opponents – many of them fresh faces – run stronger campaigns and offer bolder ideas. It might just be that politics has become so dysfunctional under Republican rule that Biden's call for a return to normalcy will be enough to carve a path to the White House in November.

There is objective documented evidence of corporate media manipulation and outright lying during the 2016 election. They are doing it again this campaign, as expected, using subtle deception and outright lies. The corporate establishment, conservatives and the rich have a strong interest in protecting their stranglehold on the country. We need a candidate who will take them on and not continue to protect them and share in the bounty. Don't allow the media, and others, to convince you that there is not an emergency that requires overwhelming action.

The article above hints Biden might be the answer to the rot that Trump has created. If he or any other pro-establishment individual is the nominee Trump will likely win.

Examples of the ways in which we are manipulated to support the ruling class.

Brace yourself, Atypical. Here comes another pro-Biden essay by someone who does not share your opinion. Michael Gordon, a Democratic strategist and former Justice Department spokesman in the Clinton administration, notes that no matter what Trump says or does, nothing really matters. People who like him continue to like him – I call it the Cult of Donald Trump – and people who hate him continue to hate him. Gordon therefore believes Biden will be the Democratic Presidential nominee and will defeat Trump in 2020.

Americans have made up their minds about Donald Trump and that's all you need to know for the 2020 election

The brainwashed, blindly loyal members of the Cult of Donald Trump refuse to allow anyone to challenge their orange-skinned cult leader. Long live Emperor Trump!

Prior to the adoption of the 12th Amendment in 1804, the Presidential candidate who got the second-largest number of votes became Vice President. In 1796, Federalist John Adams was elected President and Democratic-Republican Thomas Jefferson became Vice President. Beginning in 1804, a party's Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidates appear on the same ticket. The 12th Amendment does not prevent a Presidential candidate from choosing a running mate from an opposing party but it is highly doubtful such a ticket would win election. In 2008, Republican John McCain considered choosing Joe Liberman, an independent and former Democrat, as his running mate but abandoned the idea because of Liberman's pro-abortion stance. And in 2020.......

Joe Biden says he would consider a Republican for his running mate

William Howard Taft served as President of the United States (1909-1913) and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (1921-1930). No other person has served in both offices. At least not yet.

Biden would nominate Obama to Supreme Court 'if he'd take it'

Poll: Biden edges Trump in Florida
    The Hill, Dec 31 2019 6:00 AM

A new poll finds former Vice President Joe Biden with a small lead over President Trump in Florida, a battleground state Trump narrowly won in 2016. A Mason-Dixon survey released today finds Biden with a 2 percentage point advantage over Trump's 45%. The poll found that Biden was the only candidate with a positive favorability rating: 45% favorable to 41% unfavorable. Trump was underwater, at 46% favorable and 47% unfavorable.

Castro's campaign website was JuliánForTheFuture.com. Today he finally realized he has no future, at least not in the 2020 Presidential race.

The Iowa Democratic caucuses will take place February 3. Julián Castro today dropped out of the race, leaving 14 Democratic candidates. Fourteen! At least nine of them need to drop out, too. Every two weeks, CNN ranks the candidates. Here is the new ranking. Buttigieg is rising, Warren is dropping and there is no change at the top.

Williamson credits her "spiritual transformation" to Helen Schucman's curriculum A Course In Miracles. In January 2019, when she announced her candidacy for President of the United States, she should have known it would take a huge miracle for her to win. She just fired her entire campaign staff but she's staying in the race. Go figure!
