There has never been a liberal MSM except for a few individual voices and obscure publications/sites.

The MSM is essentially a corporatist, center-right establishment supporting BUSINESS that avoids controversy that might impact PROFIT and someone's JOB.
The coverage of Trump provides glaring evidence of the media's corruption.
