The wealthy overwhelmingly support repukes, their primary enablers and protectors. Some dems have similar tendencies. This block has always relentlessly toiled against working-class people. To this end they are willing to destroy democracy whenever it doesn't exist to benefit them.

Many make financial gifts (eg, Koch) to make their wealth appear beneficial and benign.

Almost all of them are our vicious enemies.

Among many, there is one major enabler assisting conservatives in destroying the country. It is mainly overlooked.

Most people are not interested in critical thinking. They accept superficial and misleading "news" as informative. They don't notice the way words are used, the framing used to get their points seen as accurate. Then there is 'bothsiderism,' a deadly poison fed to us daily.

Keith Olbermann's major value is that he has worked in this cesspool, knows the game and its actors, and has the right tendencies and instincts. All this is invaluable - and rare.

Today's podcast, especially the first block, is mandatory for anyone who assumes that the MSM "news" is a good place to get objective and unflinching reporting.

The Republicans have been moving toward becoming a solid party of vicious religious zealots and psychopathic cretins for 40 years. They passed the finish line when Trump won.

That they get significant financial support from wealthy business interests and the votes of the hateful and easily-led voter is overwhelming evidence for those who see humans as they really are.

The media and timid incompetent Democrats have enabled the deterioration of the country. It is likely it will never recover as greed, hate and the lust for power are in control.

Capitalism has an unwarranted status in this country. One of the most glaring of many justifiable criticisms is that the need for profit justifies any decision or action.

Les Moonves of CBS once said of his network's fawning over Trump's first run for the presidency; "It may not be good for the country but it's good for CBS."

The media need access to the prevailing power (profitable) so it will never do anything that risks losing that access. Thus bothsiderism and/or false equivalency are policies to be followed without exception. It is of no concern that this leads the country and many of its citizens to be horrendously harmed (or worse). Profit is all.

The changes in the country's political landscape over the last 40 plus years has been clear to anyone who is not an ideologue. It is not hyperbole to say we are now very close to Germany in the 1930s.

Anyone who supports the Republicans in any way is obviously full of hate and deranged.

I don't have heroes. Eventually, everyone falters and I have no problem recognizing it and reacting appropriately. I only have respect and support on a provisional basis.

The country is close to being destroyed by religious fanatics, and hate-filled fascists who are supported by the wealthy who know they will be repaid.

We must listen to those who are brave enough to warn us with the objective evidence. A major voice is Keith Olbermann. The first segment of today's podcast is accurate and frightening.
