Since Spencer's favorite music streamer Slacker has fallen off a cliff on the music app charts (ranking 114 this morning), my guess is it is in need of major help. Maybe Sirius should pick it up for a song (pun intended)? Couldn't cost much at all. Floundering service.....What do you think Brandon?

Brandon - Was trying to figure out a way to invest in the NFL and MLB when I realized the answer was staring me right in the face in my media stocks. Sirius radio broadcasts every single game of each, and Comcast now has Sunday Night Football and Thursday Night Football. Disney has Sunday Night Baseball and Monday Night Football.

What great ways to invest in football and baseball! I was racking my brain for a direct way when it hit me the only logical way is indirect through media.

Brandon - For me personally, this is what music radio is really all about

9 more Alt Rock festivals to go this summer. Crossing my fingers they have them all. Last year they broadcast 8. That's why I love Sirius! Festivals are an excellent way to make music on the radio exclusive. Not an easy task.

Longtime marijuana use might make you a loser

Excerpt: "Magdalena Cerda, an associate professor of emergency medicine who helps head a violence prevention program.

“Our study found that regular cannabis users experienced downward social mobility and more financial problems — such as troubles with debt and cash flow — than those who did not” puff persistently.

“Regular long-term users,” Cerda continued, “also had more antisocial behaviors at work, such as stealing money or lying to get a job, and experienced more relationship problems, such as intimate partner violence and controlling abuse.”

Wow, what a shocker. Who knew?

Sirius could use the installed mobile user base to market a package of Sirius + commercial free Pandora paid subs and destroy terrestrial radio.

Last month, the New York Times reported that Pandora had hired bankers to sell the company. The most logical buyer, according to industry executives I’ve polled, would be satellite radio giant Sirius XM, who they imagined would be interested in Pandora’s big installed base of mobile users; Pandora’s mobile users account for 85 percent of the service’s use.

But we haven’t heard much about the would-be sale since the initial report.
    Not bad. Pretty close
