Hey wfj, thanks for posting. Unfortunately I think the lack of response from anyone on this thread is pretty much indicative of our total cluelessness when it comes to Malone's alphabet soup of Liberty stocks. It's either that or everyone was tailgating and drunk all weekend. I know, at least for me it is the former. Sorry, but I can't help you with Liberty stock.

Thanks for the reply. Just wasn't sure if I would be better to own more LMCA than the others.

Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway takes new AT&T stake, boosts GM holdings
    BY MarketWatch — 7:34 AM ET 11/16/2015

Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway ( BRK/A ) increased the value of this equity holdings to $127.41 billion during the third quarter from $107.18 billion in the second quarter, as it took a new stake in AT&T Inc. Unreal that they still have a shot. I agree with Midas in that they don't deserve to win anything with such a poor showing with Romo out. One Fng game in seven they couldn't even win, not 1. Longest loosing streak since 89.....Troy's rookie year.

LBRDA/LBRDK are Broadband based. If you like Charter and its trajectory then don't sell those. LMCK and LMCA should trade the same. LMCK is selling at a discount to LMCA so it is actually the better deal currently but I would rather own A and do own both. Am not selling any of the 4. Will wait for things to shake out over next few months. If I was going to increase my stake in any it would probably be LBRDA and LMCA but am not selling 1 to buy the other. Don't want to pay tax on gain just to swap.

Remember the Jimmy J. days when every player was a star? Troy, Emmitt, Johnston, Bates, Woodson, Sanders, Clay Aiken (jk), Irvin, Haley, ... .. He used every single position when he called plays. Granted... All those guys from Miami were pretty damn good but still

The tracking stock split is a 2016 event. Positioning will take place over the next 4 months or so. I'll re-iterate what I posted last week concerning the tracking stock split, specifically as it applies to SIRI.

    From here:
    1) There will be an arbitrage play as we get closer to the split, long LM short SIRI.
    2) If you are not long LM at this time, there will likely be a better entry point prior to the transaction (2016). Read that as a negative to the SIRI share price from this level, but it will be a 2016 event.

In the more immediate, the HS 'event' will impact SIRI soon, the language from the press releases on Friday seem to allude that they are not close but, from the company's perspective they want to get a deal done. That event should be more of the focus for near term price movement in SIRI.

Disclaimer: Prior to this, I was (still am) short SIRI @ an average of 4.10. This morning I will hedge the SIRI position via calls. At this time, I have no position in LMCA (LMCK). When I took the short position I had an exit plan of high 3.80's. My stop is @ 4.29-ish. I am now hedged so I have more flexibility.
