Unhappy My FM direct connects CAUSE static.

    Hello,
I have one Starmate3 and a couple years ago finally bought 2 of these. One in my truck and one in my trailer radio. I enjoyed clear reception . Both now cause static for the last year and when I unplug them it goes away. (or hold the receiver with my hand) Should I assume that my Starmate is at fault? One would think 2 fmda would not fail at the same time.
I cannot find ANY technical help for Sirius products. Isn't that special?

I forgot to mention that I have bought a new dock but it does not fix it.

Sounds like the connection point is loose. Use a rubberband or a matchbook or something to help wedge everything tight.

I bought a new dock months ago thinking the jack was bad but still no change. Forgot to mention this.

It could be where the receiver sits in the dock. In other words, the problem is with the female part of the adapter in the receiver itself.
