FYI:
"The law that applies to situations where state and federal laws disagree is called the supremacy clause, which is part of article VI of the Constitution. The supremacy clause contains what's known as the doctrine of pre-emption, which says that the federal government wins in the case of conflicting legislation. Basically, if a federal and state law contradict, then when you're in the state you can follow the state law, but the feds can decide to stop you. When there is a conflict between a state law and federal law, it is the federal law that prevails. For example, if a federal regulation prohibits the use of medical marijuana, but a state regulation allows it, the federal law prevails."
Makes sense that the law suits are filed in individual states but looks like a losing battle for them since it will most likely be extended to the federal level. I'm thinking this was just a slimy way of trying to squeeze cash from Sirius and ultimately every other music streaming service with a hope of a quick settlement rather than letting it drag through the court system for years generating significant legal costs and damaging negative publicity. Also explains why the sp dipped a bit with the overall market but didn't crash and burn as a reaction to the news.

just sold everything I bought on sale yesterday. pocketed a quick $1900 and now I'm going shopping at Goodwill for a tweed jacket for The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride. It's a world wide event that benefits prostate cancer. If you got a vintage or cafe style bike in your garage, shine it up and pull it out this Sunday. http://www.gentlemansride.com/
Have a great weekend guys. You've all earned it.
