Yup. And the next quarter is up even further, and then the next...

Lookit the volume with still an hour to go.

Oh suuuuuuuure...now everyone wants a piece of the pie! I think the people who have stuck with them through the thick and thin though deserve something extra. Like maybe a SIRI keychain with that little doggie on it or somethin'.

Now we will see the posts pick up in here. I'm tired of the cricket noise.

LOL - sometimes I share these thoughts.

The -0.04 EPS will be the sore tooth in an otherwise healthy mouth. What I liked most is that Mel indicated that the fixed costs are indeed fixed and can serve 20MM, 25MM or even 50MM subscribers. Every sub now sinks immediately to the bottom line. If that isn't a reason to buy, then there will never be one. It's a great position to be in.

The other take away I had was Mel's comments about the forthcoming marketing campaign. He cited that the news surrounding the company had been focused on SIRI's financial status, and it's now time to change that. IMO that was addressed directly at some of the more vocal bashers (e.g. Motley Fool..........).

We'll see how it all plays out.

If I am reading right, we beat expectations. Evened out per share instead of .02 loss as projected. Is this correct? Man, they have been slashing operating expenses left and right too. They also cleared off some debt.

I might just hold this through 2010.

We shall see the spins out there today. Another interesting fact is what bassmaster mentioned...Mel's on TV also today. Wish I could see it.

    Oh well...still waving pom-pom's...alone...
YO MERTZ! It's nice to see you feeling a bit up today. It seems to me about two weeks ago you seemed like there was no hope for the future....

This report is as positive as we could have hoped for. Maintaining more than 18 million subscribers in this economy is a very good sign.

I've been piling up the shares over the last 3 months. I have hopes of seeing a lot of green over the next few days.

The news gets a little bit better with every CC.. Interesting to me that this proce run up is happening post-CC as opposed to pre-CC as in the last few quarters.

If I were a betting man - and I am - I would bet that we will see a nice run-up prior to the next CC. I am also highly optimistic that the elusive $1 barrier can be reached in the next 6 months, perhaps as soon as March. We'll see!

We'll break a buck this year. Once analysts start covering and issuing upgrades, then the big $ funds jump in, and voila....over a $1. It will happen soon.

Ahhhh...this is almost as sweet as that porn link was!

GLA...the closer we find support to a buck the better off we are. We shall see.

YES!!! That is huge.....fixed costs.....big drop thru to profit.....@ .70 for every $1 in sub revenue. This is when companies achieve greatness!

Did anyone catch Mel on CNBC? Did he pretty much just re-iterate what has already been said or drop any type new news/spin?

plus I think Mel is still low-balling revenue growth . . 40 million cars with deactivated units!
