just sirius, thanks for the tip. In case I did't mentioned it before, I live very close to the Texas border and spend more time in Midland or Lubbock, but going to Taos is on my list. I want to spend some time in Utah and Colorado too this summer , to get out of the 110 degrees here in the dessert.
    Thanks again .

Once you get past your neck of the woods...Northern NM is beautiful. Some great snow skiing. Red River...neat little place...Taos-speaks for itself. Skied at a place just N of Red River called Rio Castillo...No longer their I think. There was myself and my wife, and my best friend and his wife on the intermediate/advanced side of the mountain...that was it. Had a tour bus of 60 beginners on the bunny/green runs. Best day skiing I have ever had!!

Some great memories! FYI very difficult to BBQ in the altitude...Charcoal doesn't burn very well...especially when it is snowing 2-4" an hour!!!

Julie, no jetsetters. My parents live in Germany, for them it's a 8 - 10 hours car ride. I have to walk my dog now. Talk to you tomorrow.

Ya you posted that you live near Clovis(I think). If you get to Utah over the summer...Lake Mead is spectacular. You might try Lake Tahoe, Nevada...Beautiful and casinos if you like to gamble!

I am shocked you haven't heard of Cedar Point! It's in
Sandusky, Ohio. You havn't lived until you've ridden
on the Magnum. Of course, I'm too scared to ride it.

I fell for it. Name I used to call an old boyfriend, he was both a pig and a swine. And a few other barnyard animals.

Just: thanks for the kind words, and the ski area in Vermont that you described sounds like Okemo which is in Ludlow about 50 miles up Route 100 from Stratton, there you can park at the top and ski down. Its wierd, I agree. Texas is big and Vermont is so small everyone knows everyone's business!

Julie when I get back you can let me know whats up with the adverse possession case, If i can offer some advice after 25 years of doing this stuff of course I will help. I'm certain that the laws in Mich are the same or very close to the same as in

    New York

Daniel: a couple of years ago they had the National snowboarding championships at a resort called Angel Fire, its near Taos. It is a very small mountain, I don't know what the USASA had in mind when they picked this place, it took forever to get to from the East and they didn't have much in the way of accomodations. Now Nationals is held either in Tahoe or at Copper Mountain Colorado.
