SIRI Intraday Thread: Monday April 20

Hell of a week last week, eh? I never know how to play week-ending runs... will the passion die off over the weekend and cause the stock to retrace? Or will it continue to run on heavy volume, and move up to the 200 day MA which is right around 62-65?

When will earnings be announced? My guess: Not this week. Probably next (announcement with a date for the CC that is).

Isn't my new Avatar the coolest?

So what else is going on in the SIRI world? Discuss...

Good Morning everyone here on the BUZZ.Hope weekend was fun for all,was for me..

Have no idea right now what this week will bring, but Todays Pre-Market could be an indication if we continue to see buyers.
Last week was fun,but not unexpected with no sellers the last 2 weeks prior.

The Senate Commerce Committee has hit its brakes on FCC reform -- at least temporarily. On Friday evening (April 17),
and a patent company has filed a suit on the 17th against a group of broadcaster's for the technologies used to replace local content with other content as reported by law360

Clear Channel, CBS Hit With Web Radio Patent Suit
Law360, New York (April 17, 2009) -- A patent licensing company has sued radio giants Clear Channel Communications Inc., CBS Radio Inc. and others for allegedly infringing a patent covering technology that allows radio stations to replace local content with information for wider audiences when broadcasting over the Internet.

Aldav LLC filed suit on Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, accusing 12 media companies of direct and contributory infringement, including inducing radio broadcasters...
and this from the wallstreet journal on radio stations trying to raise cash from listeners during these tough times.

    By SARAH MCBRIDE
With radio-advertising revenue down 9% last year and on track for a dismal 2009, some commercial stations are borrowing a tactic from public radio: asking listeners for donations.

Until lately, the practice has been limited to quirky local stations with low profiles and eccentric owners. Now, however, Air America Radio LLC is considering putting out the begging bowl. The for-profit liberal-talk radio network, whose financial problems included a 2006 bankruptcy filing, may soon launch a membership program, with top donors getting access to Air America talent and tickets to special events.

I agree, but have this sinking feeling that we will get pulled under .50 cents this a.m. before trying to go higher.
