John, did you read the link to barron's article that Tim posted.what do you think about the preffered shares and Lease/sale back part, that scares me a little...we both said the 6bil loss carry over was really important part of why liberty gave us the money...

This will be SIRI's 3rd up day.......the last SIRI rally brought 6 up days in a row. I really think that SIRI could go straight up to it's 200 DMA on this leg....

Disclosure: I'm not a financial advisor and my head is a little clouded by my marriage plans with the Russian gymnast...

Well that is because he is always right, of course he is always wrong also because he calls it both ways. Then when it does what it is going to do he says, I was right, well one only has to go over his post to see he said it would go the other direction. I dont think I have to remind people of the several articles inwhich it looked like he was arguing with himself. I mean my god he went both ways on subscribers. Who here remembers the 2 million subscriber loss in 2009 article. Then the article not a week or 2 later inwhich he said, they should add a few subs in the first quarter. I MEAN COME ON ALREADY.

Well to be honest XMSR was doing the lease/sale back well before the merger with its satellites.

If remember,no assets or liberty control can happen for at least 2yrs and 3 years for 6Bil loss carry, correct? If recall there were alot of land mines for the carry loss.

    Loss Carry Forward Value

Am I wrong here, or is our market cap still a little shy of the value of our capital loss carry forward alone?

    $6,000,000,000 x 35% (US Corporate Tax Rate) = $2,100,000,000.

correct if I recall correctly they need to wait 3 years from the date the deal closed before they can get more then 49%. Then they (liberty) would have to basically take it private for liberty to get the benefit of the loss, IMO. The loss really can only benefit SIRIXM when they start to make a profit.

P.S. I am not an accountant but from what I understand SIRIXM would have to be part and parcel a liberty company for them to get the benefit of any tax loss. I am not kidding here, but homer will most likely know more on this then me.
