That is the correct point..........nobody knows anything yet of substance. Just take your packs off men and stand at ease.

I've been researching the Post author Peter Lauria.

According to his Linkedin profile, his title at the Post is Entertainment Business Reporter and his duties are: Cover the business issues and decisions surrounding media and entertainment companies such as Time Warner, Viacom, Disney, News Corp., CBS, Warner Music Group, NBC and others.

In addition to the breaking news he posted last night, there were two other stories during the week:

    http://www.nypost.com/seven/02112009...v_i_154659.htm

Note that he only started covering it once Liberty got involved, so I am guessing his source is someone there. He seems to write on rumors a lot, but generally has his facts straight.

and here's another article of his today. Not sure if it has been posted today:

    http://www.nypost.com/seven/02142009...rty_155062.htm

    This quote is interesting:

"The beautiful thing about Liberty is that one side of its brain is looking at this like a distressed bond investor and if they can make a little money that's fine," the source said. "The other side of its brain is looking at this like a strategic buyer, and if they can get access to the assets, that's fine, too."

Yeah it's a cesspool there .. someone this morning posted a fake Washington Post story that siri had declared Bk.

Good for entertainment, but not much else.

on ny post online at 2:02 a.m., 7 hours after his initial
post - albeit on a fri night - so he (lauria) is not only
burning the midnight oil, he's doing it on a weekend no less.
you can't say the man isn't putting in the time on this

Ya, and some jerk-off was screaming that he had handed it over to the SEC all ready...and blah blah blah......I was just sitting here laughing. They have a bunch of wing nuts over there...."cesspool" is a most appropriate analogy.
