It is hard to believe they will just walk away for the rest of the year. The Japenese want the union wages lower and or the Big Three gone forever, looks like the Senator from Tenn is leading the charge for that to happen.

This was suppose to be about a bridge Loan.

that is the worst thing about it, its a loan, not a bailout

sure bailout all the morons on wallstreet with 46 times the amount of money the autos want. but its the autos that employ people.

Ain't gonna matter much if banks have money to loan if no one has a job to get the credit, DUH!

The new uncovering of a ponzi scheme to the tune of about 80 billion $$$ this morning won't help the market confidence...it is so PHUCKING corrupt it's pathetic. IMO..future investors will turn their backs on the market for many years to come. Dirty wall street bastards are ruining america.

    wtf !

what happened when the govt. let the last corporation go under. Dominoes !@#$%#*#@!-er ! if they do not approve for the auto corps. , depression. this effects the steel manufacturers , delivery drivers , dock laborers , 24hr customer service operators , glass industry , vending machine contracts , oil industry , tire industry , small town businesses where these factories are located , coffee industry (lol!) , the list goes on and on. Way to go mortgage lenders , way to go. they ruined , along with government for not regulating , the face of the " American Dream " , that dream has 2 black eyes , bloody nose , and a busted lip. but hey, i'm a level 50 in Halo 3 now , so it's not that bad.

    Cool

Isn't that the DAMN truth!!!!! It all will be a ripple effect... One way shape or form everyone will be effected when these start tumbling down. By the way, I wander how Eneterprise Rent A Car will be effected and other rental companies?? Anyway, way to go for Halo 3, I love Halo and can play it for hours if I only had hours to play it, having 3 kids and all.

    here goes nothing !!!

that is exactly what the big three said ten years ago when they kept on introducing gas guzziling cars - GM- Hummers, Ford- Expedition , Chrysler- just poor cars in general. except the almight Jeep

i am in favor of the bailout , but the management on up for all big three , really need to go. there's a reason why european , japanese , and s. korean cars are in the States. because they are in demand and we will buy them for , looks , fuel efficiency, trade-in and re-sale value , oh yeah , and high quality and performance. hmmmmm......maybe that's what everybody wants. I don't know anybody that says , " i can't wait to see what the 2010 Cobalt looks like ! " , we all know you rather have an Honda Civic for $5000 more and know exactly what you're getting.
    CEO's gotta go !
    CEO's gotta go !

good thing i own Jeep , i can " runnnnnnnn to the hillllllllllllllls , run for my liiiiiiiiiffffffee "

I'm not wanting to see the Big 3 go under and the malaise that would result but does anyone realize what our country was founded on?

It sure wasn't socialism or communism or fascism. I'm all for lending a helping hand to the weak and feeble but throwing money at a problem and not expecting change is not a good idea.

    The strong survive.
