    Thanks Trip..

At this point, I've written off my investment in SIRI. I'll be a happy man if SIRI can get to $1 in a year, even 0.50 will be a consolation if it stays alive.
Do you think it is a good idea to keep averaging down? I can easily put in
a few hundred more.. but like everyone else, would hate to lose more good money after bad money..

thats a tough decision to make, it depends on ur situation, if u feel secure financially right now go for it, if not you would be better off saving your money. make sure you figure out how much your going to lower your pps before you do anything cause to me its not worth it to go from 1.50 to 1.20, but thats my opinion i really cant tell you whats best to do with your own money gl though

Don't throw good money after bad. The good thing about this economy is that If you have extra cash the best thing to do is to spend it !!!

I've been drinking all week and I do not give a damn ! I probably spent $1000 this week so far... drinking, gambling (in Hobbs NM) and... I'll let your imagination figure the 3rd thing I've been doing.... I am on my way out... see ya !!!

New guy here. Been reading the forum for months since I asked google why is Sirius stock so low, and found out the reason.

Anyway, I'm in with 41,000 averaged at $1.67. I bought in 2005 prior to Howard coming on and could have sold at $7 after Mel was hired, but held on because XM was trading well higher at the time. I recently bought to bring down the average. At $0.14 who gives a crap if you lose an additional $2800 when you've already lost $60,000. Heck, maybe I'll buy some more at $0.11.

DEBT. I knew nothing of it prior to the stock tanking. I suppose when they planned to merge, they didn't foresee the collapse of the financial sector, so financing wasn't on the front burner. Not a lot of people did. Peter Schiff did, but I caught on to him too late too.

Google was how I found this place as well as seeking alpha. Between the various articles, l learned that the stock was being shorted because the street had no faith in Sirius refinancing their debt. Interestingly enough, I saw one citation noting that short selling is statistically significant in predicting the fate of the company - in other words, it's getting shorted for a real reason.

I like this message board. There are some "lively" exchanges.
