Griffin is a typical, brainwashed, blindly loyal Trump supporter who believes Trump won the election. Spoiler alert: Trump lost. Trump and Congressional Republicans claim the election was "stolen" by Democrats. Griffin came up with his own nutty theory: "The election was fraudulent on every level. It was stolen by Communist China. The evidence is irrefutable.” Wow.

Today after being sworn in as President, Biden declared, “To overcome these challenges to restore the soul and secure the future of America requires so much more than words. It requires the most elusive of all things in a democracy: unity. We must end this uncivil war that pits red against blue, rural versus urban, conservative versus liberal. We can do this if we open our souls instead of hardening our hearts.”

Unlike our previous President, Biden will never call undocumented immigrants "terrorists," "rapists" and "drug dealers."
Biden wants to remove this controversial word from US laws
CNN, Jan 21 2021 2:13 PM ET
It's just one small part of the sweeping immigration overhaul President Biden is pushing but the symbolic significance is huge. Biden's proposed bill, if passed, would remove the word "alien" from US immigration laws, replacing it with the term "noncitizen." It's a deliberate step intended to recognize America as "a nation of immigrants," according to a summary of the bill released by the new administration. The term "illegal alien" is decried as a dehumanizing slur by immigrant rights advocates. California struck "alien" from the state's labor code in 2015. New York City removed the term from its charter and administrative code last year.

It is unfortunate for our nation that no matter what President Biden tries to do, there will be a large number of Retrumplicans who will be against it. Witness:

Did any news outlet report on Austin's confirmation without pointing out that he's "Black" or "African American"? I'm not aware of any. Why do the news media feel it necessary to identify everyone by skin color?

In 1928, the image of Andrew Jackson, our seventh President, replaced Grover Cleveland on the $20 bill – which is odd, considering Jackson was opposed to the National Bank and in his March 4, 1837 farewell address expressed his opposition to paper money. Jackson may not be on the $20 bill for many more years.

Today, in response to a lawsuit filed by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton – a Retrumplican – US District Judge Drew Tipton issued a temporary restraining order halting Biden's 100-day freeze on deportations. Retrumplicans will spend the next four years fighting Biden on everything he tries to do. At least there are a few who are voting to confirm Biden's Cabinet picks.
