The Washington Post has documented more than 12,000 lies Donald Trump has told since assuming the Presidency. Somehow Trump brainwashed a Fox Business anchor and turned him into a mindless lackey. I wish I knew how.

FOX News, a.k.a. the Trump Cheerleading Channel, certainly has had more than its share of loonies. This is from Talkers.com, October 3:
Starnes, FOX News part company after speculation about Democrats worshipping demons. A source with knowledge of the situation said it was in the works well in advance of Monday. But Todd Starnes' departure from the FOX News organization came immediately after Monday's radio show broadcast in which show guest Robert Jeffress suggested that Democrats worship the Canaanite god Moloch (who required child sacrifice) because of their support for abortion rights. Starnes agreed with Jeffress that he believes Democrats are coming after Christians. Starnes said via Twitter, "I'm proud to call myself a gun-toting, Bible-clinging, Deplorable Trump supporter. I am a rock-solid conservative and I do not compromise my beliefs. Period." Starnes hosted a daily, three-hour radio show on FOX News Radio as well as "Starnes Country" on the FOX Nation platform. His radio show is being replaced with a rotating series of hosts for "FOX Across America" for now.

On the supposedly "fair and balanced" Fox News channel, a.k.a. the Trump Cheerleading Channel, pro-Trump opinions are often presented as facts. The opinion reporters are undermining the news reporters. The growing conflict led Shepard Smith to resign today after 20 years and two months as news anchor.

Shepard Smith reported the news. Shepard Smith reported facts. Shepard Smith denounced Emperor Trump for telling "lie after lie after lie." Shepard Smith debunked Trump's many conspiracy theories involving Bush, Obama, Clinton, Schiff, Mueller, the Bidens, the DNC, Uranium One, Hurricane Katrina and others. Without Shepard Smith, Fox News, a.k.a. the Trump Cheerleading Channel, will become an even stronger pro-Trump propaganda outlet and will continue to feed Trump's galaxy-sized ego.

His exit highlights the turmoil between Fox's newscasts and its opinion shows that actively undermine those newscasts while defending Trump at all costs.

On October 11, news anchor Shepard Smith abruptly resigned from Fox News, a.k.a. the Trump Cheerleading Channel. Today, Washington DC-based correspondent Catherine Herridge announced she, too, will leave Fox. Both Smith and Herridge grew tired of facts being overshadowed by Fox News' non-stop pro-Trump propaganda.

Shepard Smith did not mention Donald Trump by name, nor did he need to. We all know Trump denounces reporters as "dishonest," tries to revoke their press passes and threatens to sue them for libel. We all know Trump calls CNN, The Washington Post and The New York Times "fake news" and "the enemy of the American people." Lately, Trump has even begun attacking Fox News, his favorite channel, because Fox dares to report on his low poll numbers. The First Amendment? Freedom of speech? Freedom of the press? Sorry. In Trumpworld, those apply only to Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Breitbart and other right-wing news outlets that never say anything bad about Trump.

Fox News, a.k.a. the Trump Cheerleading Channel, calls its reporting "fair and balanced." In truth, it is unfair and unbalanced – and Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson are the channel's two worst offenders. Fox News, of course, will defend Carlson just as Carlson defends Trump.

The President apparently believes the Fox News Channel should be "all Trump, all the time." And has Trump forgotten that he was a registered Democrat from 1964 to 1987 and from 2001 to 2009?
