Today in a memo to employees, SiriusXM CEO Jennifer Witz announced the elimination of 475 jobs, 8% of the company's workforce. Shares of SiriusXM closed today at 4.30, a gain of 0.05 (1.18%).

Shares of SiriusXM closed today at 3.80, a drop of 0.06 (1.55%). That is just three cents above the stock's 52-week low. And CEO Jennifer Witz said laying off 475 employees will help to "secure the long-term health and profitability of our business." Hey, Jennifer, how's that workin' out for ya?

Shares of SiriusXM today reached a new 52-week low, falling to 3.64 in early afternoon and closing at 3.67, a drop of 0.13 (3.42%).
Shares of SiriusXM fell another 12¢ today to close at 3.51. For the year to date, the share price has fallen 2.28 (39.38%). And now for the news:
