Music Channel Escape (69) changing to only online this Thursday

Is anyone else disturbed that SiriusXM is relegating the Escape music channel to online access only? Their notice about the change states you can always just switch to Watercolors (Smooth Jazz) on channel 66 or Love Songs on channel 17. Neither choice is my cup of tea. I don't expect to be listening to my smart phone while in my car just to be able to continue to listen to Easy Listening on the online channel 751. How about you?

Just got a email notice today (9-18-15) that as of the 15th Escape is back on Channel 69 due to listener feedback!! Hopefully next time they do their "survey" they ask actual subscribers for their input. Great to have it back!

I called and asked why and was told it was done to get people to listen to lesser used channels.

I agree! That was the main station we listened to. Kept us calm while driving. Why do they care what we listen to if we are paying for it. I hate there is no competition in satellite radio.

They removed the best music on raido/TV to give us more Mexico (Callente) garbage, junk music! That Jazz music, is not the same. The Escape music is in a catogory all it's own and should be maintained there! Very bad idea making such a switch!

I can't believe it either! I've done the calling bit also, and you just get a canned response. Since we pay for this, we should get a vote. Wish there was some way to get enough responses to get Sirius to take notice and change their minds. I don't have a large enough data plan to listen on my phone in the car.

Canceled remaining satellite radio subscription due to Escape being deleted. When trying to renew Internet radio subscription, they tried to jack up the cost so cancelled that also. Now listening to good music on Pandora at home. Too bad the one station many viewers preferred to listen to is no longer available in the car.

They did the same thing with Cinemagic years ago, which was the station that brought me to them to begin with. You vote with your wallet, but I think all they see is general attrition, rather than customer loss for specific reasons. Unfortunately, the more esoteric programming which made them a great alternative, seems to be slowly getting phased out.

I see they gave us Escape back! I was channel surfing for something that resembled Escape and happened to hit 69, and there it was!

What ever happened, I don't know, but THANKS SIRIUS!

Escape is still going strong in 2020. Love the music and glad it's still part of the rock heavy lineup on Sirius XM. This music needs our continued support!

Isn't Escape pretty much for nursing homes?
