Rad, that looks ugly (and expensive to repair). Is that your cost, or is it in the tax base there?
Johnny, that looks homey to me.
Here's the view this morning from atop my brother in-law's office building. Come on down if you want to warm up.
Rad, isthat all from the blizzard or is some of that damage from Sandy?
I dont know where Rad is but, the houses on the south shore of Ma were largely untouched by Sandy but, this storm did some real damage. My mothers house weathered Sandy no problem but, this storm peeled the shingles right off her house and broke her storm shutters.
Yea, I'm in TX now, but am from the south shore of MA. Still have family there, but fortunately they are not right on the coast. So Just a lot of snow and downed trees for them.
EDIT: Old man is a contractor so he loves the snow in the winter for plowing... He always says, "it's white gold season"
Wow, what a pleasant sight to see all green in my portfolio this morning, including FSLR up 2 bucks and ONVO up 30 cents. All we need now is for SIRI to move on up and away from 3.15 and we'll all be happy.
Good to hear. LOL I went on a Field trip to Peggotty when I was younger....28 yrs old now....from Hanover originally.
The Old foagies that live near me say the Nor'Easters are much worse than the hurricanes, they last longer, have higher storm surges and in my 10 years owning this, I agree. Sandy? Nothing to me, my one neighbor lost a bit of lawn near his beach exposure. This Nor'Easter? With the "moon tide" we had plus the storm surge or a few more feet and duration of it all, more water came over the sea wall and into the street, destoying it as you saw, and many of my neighbors had their decks, fences, lawns, siding, etc washed away. Old timers told me the worst flooding in Scituate since the blizzard of 78. Also NOT a hurricane, a Nor'Easter. I am in a good spot and pretty safe. Thankfully
With Ya, and Apple and MJNA. Another good day. I was cleaning up the yard at the beach house, no power, no wi-fi and NO 3G (crappy location cell tower wise) It was AWFUL not knowing what was going on, thankfully when I could log on on the way home at 11AM I was up. Scary crap, esp when you own a green stock or two!
Glad to hear it sounds like everyone is alright. I woke up here in MI to find all of our snow gone, thought there was supposed to be some kind of storm this weekend...!
As for siri...what are the thoughts on the institiutional holdings dropping from 65% to 30%? I saw this happen once before and then a few days later it was back to 65%
alright question for you chart guys
check out 3 month LPHI chart
when a stock breaks out above BB does it usually means short term caution?
what if it stays there for a few days -- is this signal for stong move up coming?
It appears the drop was with UBS again, the last time (months ago) it was with the UBS holdings
UBS AG 09/30/2012 46,078,974 (257,926,180) (84.84) 143,766
The drop is a result of the conversion of the preferred to common by Liberty. There are now 6.6 bn common with the conversion, approximately. The 50 % ish Liberty stake is not considered institutional and is not really part of the float because they are holding to stay above 50%. So, the Institutional stake is 35 % of 6.6 Bn or approx. 2.31 bn of the actual float of 3.3 Bn or, about 70% of the actual float.
I do love this link...

Still pumping that cash in. Fine with it dragging like this so long as it's being bought and not sold.
Small world. I grew up in Marshfield and my family kept their boat in Scituate. My family still has a house directly on the water down there. Glad to hear everyone made out OK.
Siri looking good...Still consolidating above upper trend line...
Attachment 841
ONVO trying to kiss the upper BB and staying over trend line it jumped back over on Friday....MACD looking to cross soon if trend continues....
Attachment 842
FSLR broke above symetrical triangle within uptrend channel and is real close to testing upper BB.....MACD has already crossed..
Attachment 843
LMCA struggling with uptrend. Wants to test lower BB at 108.92 but not enough sell side volume to take it down. Looks to be consolidating in uptrend channel....
Attachment 844
AAPL looks to test upper trend line of downtrend channel. With the MACD cross to positive.....could break up and out of channel.....
