Hello McFly..... What political party has been bitching about Fannie and Freddie? Now the real question is whether or not Democrats will allow Republicans an opportunity to work together in committee, or will they shut them out for political reasons.

Just listened to an expert say last night that actually fannie and freddie were very successful for much of their existance. So you see some of your lack of knowledge leads to plain talking point material.
According to Bill Gross (who run PiMCO) and is no lefty, the govt needs to remain in the mortgage business in some capacity.
As long as Republicans are willing to show a sense of compromise (so far they havent) im sure legislative compromise can be worked out.
Since the Republican party is moving further and further to the right (away from the center) it makes it harder and harder for both parties to come together to solve problems.

And i know whenever Republicans ever regain power of the Presidency and Congress you will be crying about the Republicans lack of bipartisanship if the Democrats vote no (almost unanimously)
on every piece of legislation. LMFAO. Of course the Democrats never quite did that even under Bush
now did they? Remember when Bush had power along with Republican control of Congress for 6 years.

Since this is the third citing of facts morphing into talking points, I will retire for the day. What I can say on my behalf my arguments have been consistent. It is actually kind of funny using the same facts and figures again and again to dispell a plethora of complaints coming nothing more than liberal pumper / conservative hater.

The difference is that when Bush was in office Fox news and Conservatives rarely criticized the President and now that Obama is in office the huffingtonpost and Liberals criticize him all the time. You do see the difference i hope?

Yeah it means Progressives stand for certain principles no matter if it hurts there own candidates.
Republicans only believe what there leaders (Fox news, Karl Rove) tell them to believe. Talking points galore. You know Sadam Hussein was responsible for 9/11, Obama wasnt born in this country etc. etc.
On the flip side, Republicans are united idealogically and the Dem's aren't.
