I say we top 20 million. Since we are 'guessing'.
i say 20.2 million subs :)
some optimists we have here:cool:
20.4M
Howard stated on air the week before last that they were already over 20M. He said he knew that for sure.
jmm232, That may be correct but I thought we were talking about at the end of 4th quarter. I will guess 19.55 to 19.65 million based on Sterns comment. If he was correct, I figure 1st quarter would have to be less adds then 4th quarter. If Stern was wrong then I think 19.3 and if Mel underestimated it by getting even more, then the PPS should go through the roof (.30). Isn't that sad when 30 cents is through the roof. jmm232, your number based on Stern already puts them at Mel 2009 year end target, before even ending the 1st quarter. I some how dont think it is that high, but heres to HOPE.
They were at 18.9 for Q3, and projected 19.1 for Q4. I think that is BS, and find it hard to believe they project less adds for Q4 than we had Q3. My guess is 19.35, but would be happy anything over 19.2, preferably with an upward guidance for 2009 numbers, but that might be hard to do until the OEM situation turns around.

wow...you are all very optimistic. Given the market conditions last quarter I will be more than happy if we just meet the guidance of 19.1M, honestly I just hope we have net POSITIVE adds. Anything more than 19.1M and I would expect a positive reaction to the stock. Couple that with an announcement on the May debt and this very well could be the last time we ever see SIRI trading in the teens again.
If we broke 20 million there would have been a press release. I say we probably don't get much more than 19.2 million.

You heard it here first!
19.4. If Howard is claiming 20 million currently, then it would have to be AT LEAST this by then end of December. But that would really be pushing it. To more realistic it would be 19.6, but that doesnt mean Howard is telling the truth. So without Howards comment I would assume 19.2.
Yes, any net adds would be positive. I'll say 19.2 as a guess. I am guessing most people renew for the year so losses due to economy related non-renewals will trickle in through the next year. We may have a better 4Q, based on adds, but I expect basically a flat line on net adds throughout the year, until the car companies start to turn around.
20.1 million subs
big jump in ala cart sales for Christmas!
