In a phone call on January 2, 2021, Donald Trump pressured Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to "find 11,780 votes," just enough to overturn Joe Biden's victory. "We won the state," Trump declared. Uh, no, Donald. You lost. On January 3, Amy Gardner of The Washington Post reported the phone call. Trump denied making such a call. Two days later, the Post released the audio and published the transcript. Delusional Donald then denounced the story as a "hoax." On May 2, 2022, a grand jury was impaneled to investigate Trump's attempts to overturn Georgia's election results. Among the potential criminal charges: conspiracy to commit election fraud and criminal solicitation to commit election fraud. And then there is that little matter of the fake electors.......

The key piece of evidence that could result in criminal charges filed against Trump – including racketeering and soliciitation of election fraud – is the recording of the phone call of Trump pressuring Georgia's Secretary of State to "find" enough votes to overturn Trump's loss in the state's 2020 Presidential election, which Joe Biden won by 11,779 votes: "There’s nothing wrong with saying, you know, that you’ve recalculated. All I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes. Because we won the state." No, Donald, you did not win the state. You lost.

Donald Trump's social media platform Truth Social claims to encourage "open, free and honest conversation" – and Trump uses it mostly to spew his baseless lies of "widespread voter fraud" and a "rigged, stolen election." Of course Trump has never been honest. Over the past few years, he has become increasingly deranged, demented and delusional.

A group of conservatives, including prominent lawyers and retired federal judges, issued a 72-page report today categorically rebutting each of the claims made in court by former President Donald Trump and his supporters over the 2020 election results. The report, "LOST, NOT STOLEN: The Conservative Case that Trump Lost and Biden Won the 2020 Presidential Election," looked at more than 60 court cases Trump and his supporters filed and lost in six key battleground states. It reached the "unequivocal" conclusion that the former Republican President's claims were unsupportable – which Trump's own Department of Homeland Security as well as election officials nationwide debunked days after the 2020 election.

"There is absolutely no evidence of fraud in the 2020 Presidential election on the magnitude necessary to shift the result in any state, let alone the nation as a whole. In fact, there was no fraud that changed the outcome in even a single precinct," the report says.

The findings from both Republican- and Democratic-controlled states run contrary to claims made by former President Donald Trump and his allies who have intensely criticized their use and falsely claimed they were a target for fraud.

Former President Donald Trump said in a statement today that he had notified CNN he was intending to file a defamation lawsuit against the news outlet for its refusal to back his discredited claims that election fraud accounted for his loss to Joe Biden in the 2020 Presidential race. "I have notified CNN of my intent to file a lawsuit over their repeated defamatory statements against me," Trump's statement said. "I will also be commencing actions against other media outlets who have defamed me and defrauded the public regarding the overwhelming evidence of fraud throughout the 2020 election."
