The World War Zero initiative seeks to mobilize people to combat climate change. The coalition includes Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, John Kasich, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sting, Ashton Kutcher, Leonardo DiCaprio and many other politicians and celebrities. The President who believes global warming is a hoax and who pulled the US out of the Paris climate accord is noticeably absent.

The average high temperature across Australia was a record-setting 105.6° yesterday. Some areas could reach highs of 115° over the next few days. As earth's temperatures continue to rise, the Emperor of Trumpworld, the land of delusions, continues to call global warming a "hoax." Sad!

According to NOAA, the ten hottest years ever recorded have occurred since 2005. Nineteen of the 20 hottest years ever recorded have occurred since 2000. Emperor Trump refuses to believe the many thousands of scientists and climate studies documenting the steady rise in earth's temperature. Global warming, declares the Emperor, is a hoax invented by the Chinese to harm United States manufacturing. How does he explain such a bizarre belief? He doesn't even try. Now let's get those coal miners back to work!

"Obviously he's not listening to scientists and experts so why would he listen to me?" she told BBC Radio 4.

NEPA requires an environmental impact assessment of all federally-funded projects, including pipelines, highways, oil fields and gas fields. The Act passed unanimously in the Senate, passed the House 372-15 and was signed into law by President Nixon on January 1, 1970. Emperor Trump doesn't care about the environment, nor does he care about combatting climate change (which he denounces as a "hoax"). Trump has decreed that if a federal project is going to destroy the environment, damage people's health and add to global warming, hey, that's fine with him. Now let's get those coal miners back to work!

On August 6, 1945, during World War II, an American B-29 dropped an atomic bomb over Hiroshima. Eighty thousand people died instantly. Thousands more died later from the radiation. Here is a very scary story about the rapid rise in ocean temperatures and the effects of warmer waters on coral reefs and sea life:

Nineteen of the 20 hottest years on record have occurred since 2000. Oceans are warming, sea ice is melting, coral reefs are bleaching, global temperatures are rising, crops are dying, droughts and wildfires are becoming more severe – and Emperor Trump refuses to accept the findings of thousands of scientific studies documenting the impact of global warming. He touted America's "environmental numbers, our water numbers, our numbers on air." He called the numbers "tremendous." What "numbers" was he talking about? Who knows? Now let's get those coal miners back to work!

King Donald the First refuses to accept the findings of thousands of scientists and hundreds of climate studies. Instead, he believes climate change is a hoax and pulled the US out of the Paris climate accord. King Donald the First abolished several clean-air and clean-water regulations. King Donald the First loves fossil fuels and is trying to get our nation's coal miners back to work. King Donald the First wants to allow mining and logging on millions of acres of protected land in Alaska. King Donald the First isn't done destroying our nation's land, air and water. He's just getting started.

Global warming is indeed affecting the entire globe: all the land, all the mountains, all the glaciers, all the seas and oceans and even the weather. Here is more bad news:

Coral reefs could be wiped out by 2100, scientists say
 Mic.com, Feb 19 2020 3:25 PM

As humans continue to struggle to adequately address climate change in a way that would mitigate its worst long-term effects, the threats to familiar habitats continue to grow. The latest example: coral reefs. According to a new study presented at this year's Ocean Sciences Meeting in San Diego, researchers revealed that if human-caused climate change continues to increase ocean surface temperatures and create more acidic waters, between 70 and 90% of coral reefs will disappear over the next 20 years. Coral reefs could be nearly entirely eliminated by 2100.

The loss of reefs will have devastating effects for those on land. About 25% of all fish species spend at least part of their life cycle in reefs and the loss of that habitat could result in the loss of many fish. Coral reefs also provide a natural layer of protection against surging sea levels that threaten coastal areas. Without the reefs, we could be more quickly affected by rising sea levels. Coral reefs also provide safe haven for plankton that help produce oxygen. Research suggests that as much as 50% of the oxygen we breathe comes from this plankton.

"Daddy, why are there only seven animals in this zoo? Why are most of the cages empty?" Even if every nation meets the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement, extinction is inevitable for many species of animals. Letter from Patty Donnelly of Chino Hills in today's Los Angeles Times:

"How come we all agree that scientists working to save us from COVID-19 are heroes, yet we have a President who claims scientists working to save us from the larger threat of climate change are promoting fake news? If we learn anything from COVID-19, let it be to heed the warnings of the scientists dedicating their lives to a better future for all of us, and not politicians dedicating their lives to helping themselves get reelected."

 Amen!

King Donald the First has spent more than three years trying to undo and reverse every program and policy enacted by President Obama. King Donald didn't like the 2012 legislation calling for annual 5% increases in automobiles' fuel efficiency so his administration has lowered the standard to 1.5%. Over the next five years, the lower standard will result in nearly a billion additional tons of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere. That will accelerate the pace of global warming. King Donald doesn't care, though. He says global warming is a "hoax" – and who needs clean air anyway? Now let's get those coal miners back to work!

Almost all the world's glaciers are melting. Half the world’s glacial loss is coming from the United States and Canada.
