The likelihood of this bill being approved by the Republican-led Senate: Close to zero. The likelihood of President Trump signing this bill if it does pass the Senate: Zero.

The orange-skinned, immigrant-hating Tweeter-In-Chief declared, "Next week ICE will begin the process of removing the millions of illegal aliens who have illicitly found their way into the United States. They will be removed as fast as they come in." Then he blamed Democrats for what he calls a "border crisis." ICE, of course, has no such plan to deport millions of undocumented immigrants. Mass deportations of that scale are not even possible – but Trump has to fire up his immigrant-hating base, so.......what's one more lie?
Trump's pathetic tweet on deporting millions of immigrants should fool no one

Three hundred migrant children at this Border Patrol facility told visiting attorneys that they were not given adequate food or clean clothes and many were allowed to shower only once a month. Border Patrol officials, in true Trumpian fashion, denied the allegations. Yes, all 300 children were lying. Uh-huh. Most of the children were removed – but now the facility is filling up again. Yes sir, the Trump administration is all heart.

"Protest better, gripe better, complain better, fight better.....yeah, better!" Employees believe Wayfair should not sell $200,000 of bedroom furniture to a detention facility when so many migrant children in custody have gotten sick, been injured or died. Management, of course, just wants to make money – and hey, the detention facility is a perfectly legitimate business. The furniture orders will be fulfilled.

Today's Los Angeles Times reports that "Trump administration lawyers argued in court last week that the government shouldn't be required to provide migrant children in its custody with soap, toothbrushes, towels, showers or a full night's sleep." Yes sir, the Trump administration is all heart.
On Sunday, volunteers tried to deliver soap, diapers, sleeping bags and stuffed animals to the detention facility in Clint, Texas. Border Patrol officials refused to accept the donations. Yes sir, the Trump administration is all heart.
Minority leader Charles Schumer addressed the Senate: "Children ripped away from their parents, kept in cages, denied nutrition, hygiene, diapers, toothbrushes. How can our country do this? And all because some in the President's purview think that might deter immigrants." Yes sir, the Trump administration is all heart.

Thousands of migrant children have been taken away from their parents and put into squalid cells in detention centers where they face hunger, illness, injury and even death. Bank of America has wisely concluded the "America" of the detention centers is not the "America" the bank represents.

Our immigrant-hating President is at it again. Under a policy taking effect today, thousands of young migrants could be stripped of their status as unaccompanied minors. They would lose special protections when they apply for asylum and would become more likely to be deported. Yes sir, the Trump administration is all heart.

DHS watchdog warns of 'ticking time bomb' at migrant facilities
Fresh documentation is directly contradicting what Trump administration officials have claimed, showing the squalid conditions at migrant centers are even more widespread than we knew. NBC's Jacob Soboroff joins Chris Jansing to explain the disturbing and dangerous situation detailed in a new report from Homeland Security's own Inspector General.

Emperor Trump today insisted the migrant detention facilities are good (Lie #1), clean (Lie #2) and "run beautifully" (Lie #3.) He also said it's the Democrats' fault the facilities are crowded (Lie #4) and claimed Obama separated migrant children from their parents (Lie #5). In Trumpworld, where everything is topsy-turvy, the truth is whatever the orange-skinned Liar-In-Chief says it is.

Our immigrant-hating President hasn't given up on his dream of building the expensive, unnecessary, ineffective Trump Wall monument to himself. He tried to divert military funds but it is Congress, not the President, who determines how federal funds are spent. Trump is now asking the Supreme Court to let him do what the Constitution of the United States says he can't do.

Racist, bigoted, immigrant-hating, white nationalist Emperor Trump decreed that migrants would be ineligible for asylum if they failed to first apply for protection in another country through which they passed en route to the United States. A Trump-appointed judge refused to block the new rule. However, another judge – whom Trump has denounced as an "Obama judge" – issued a preliminary injunction. The power to make changes to asylum laws rests with Congress, not the President. This isn't the first time Emperor Trump has tried to bypass Congress and it certainly will not be the last.

Our racist, bigoted, fear-mongering, immigrant-hating, white nationalist President managed to get two highly partisan, pro-Trump judges appointed to the Supreme Court. The United States Constitution gives Congress, not the President, control over federal expenditures but the new, pro-Trump Supreme Court no longer cares about the Constitution. The Justices just voted 5-4 to allow the President to bypass Congress and raid the military budget so he can build the expensive, unnnecessary, ineffective Trump Wall monument to himself – and the "Make America Hate Again" and "Make America White Again" movements continue.

Donald Trump hates immigrants and loves big corporations. Just wait till he finds out how many of those big corporations were founded by immigrants! He'll be apoplectic.
Study backs up Andrew Yang's claim about immigrants
Yahoo Finance, Aug 1 2019 3:34 PM
During the second night of the Democratic debates, Presidential candidate Andrew Yang said "immigrants are being scapegoated" for reasons that have "nothing to do with our economy." "I'm the son of immigrants myself," said the 44-year-old entrepreneur. “My father immigrated here as a graduate student and generated over 65 US patents for GE and IBM. I think that's a pretty good deal for the United States. That's the immigration story we need to be telling. We can’t always be focusing on some of the distressed stories. If you go to a factory here in Michigan, you will not find wall-to-wall immigrants; you will find wall-to-wall robots and machines. Immigrants are being scapegoated for issues they have nothing to do with our economy."
Yang has a point. A recent analysis by the New American Economy, a research and advocacy group that is pro-immigration, found that 223, nearly 45%, of this year’s Fortune 500 companies were founded by immigrants or their children. One hundred one were directly founded by foreign-born individuals and 122 founded by children of immigrants. Those companies collectively generated $6.1 trillion in revenue in 2019 – which is bigger than the GDP of countries such as Japan, Germany and the UK – and employed 13.5 million people.

The Immigration & Nationality Act allows immigrants to apply for asylum in the United States, regardless of whether they arrived at a legal port of entry. Emperor Trump doesn't like that law so he made his own law. Well.......at least he tried.
