Whenever there is money involved, and great profit to be made, it is mandatory for investors to be skeptical first and then to do everything necessary to be protected from con artists. They are everywhere.

Trump's history from childhood has shown him to be seriously maladjusted. Anyone, including a smart 12 year old, could see that after watching his compulsive lying, childish speech, attacks on the weak and powerless, fanatical obsession with money, and pathological narcissism.
A large number of mental health professionals have said he definitely exhibits psychopathic tendencies.
To a conman like Trump anyone who supports him or his policies is a rube to be used. What this link details is NOT something that he did only recently. He has done this all his life. The claim of a stolen election (a lie) is just another swindle.

The government agencies that are supposed to regulate various industries are well-known to be actually controlled by those industries. It's called "corporate capture."
In the face of never before seen corruption and illegality, the DOJ is now clearly showing its preference for doing nothing about it.
This will only embolden the cretins.

Religious fanaticism is and always will be the top barbarity of human behavior. What will now happen due to Roe being overturned will be of no interest or concern to the degenerates who are destroying the country and laughing about it.

Hyperbole is dead. When talking about anything repukes do it is impossible to exaggerate. You can make up a disgusting scenario using common conservative behavior, thinking no one would possibly believe it, but, if you do research you will find it actually happened.
Those associated in any way with conservative policies as they are "practiced" today, are as vicious and repulsive as any human can be. It is what they live for.
Trump's minimization and lies about Covid estimates show, likely contributed to hundreds of thousands of cases of sickness and death. Clearly psychopathic behavior.
If only there was an effective opposition party...

The country is very close to becoming a fanatical religio-totalitarian dystopia. Anything that recognizes individual rights or that benefits those in need is being considered for destruction. A repuke just said Medicare and Social Security should be abolished.
One observer who has always been a purveyor of the blunt truth is Keith Olbermann. He is now back with a podcast. I listened to the first and decided to listen to the second as well.
His analysis is accurate and frightening, and rightly condemns dems for their indifference and incompetence. It needs to reach a wide audience.
This is the site.

Total lies were used to justify the Iraq war. It was one of the most horrific events ever caused by this country. There have been many. No one went to prison, such is the state of justice here. "No one is above the law," has always been a lie.
Now we have war criminals attacking other psychopaths. This is the dystopian world conservatism has given us.

This story, (as if we didn't already know), is more evidence that Mill's quote is accurate.

On the surface things seem to work. Libraries have books, stores have groceries, calls get connected and other needs get met. But, if you are someone who looks beneath that misleading surface and searches for additional information from objective, authoritative and reliable sources, you will learn that there is more going on than you are being told.
Those who point out that fact to others are usually labelled as negative, alarmist or worse. However, the historical record shows that deep research always exposes the permanent rot that all countries want to suppress.
Trump's rise uncovered the latent human stupidity, ugliness and hatred that lurks in most all of us. It gave permission to many to act without restraint and showed there will be little risk in doing so. That an entire party, large parts of the military, law enforcement and media continue to support a psychopath shows that humans easily hate reason, intellectual integrity, honesty, empathy and those who value moral behavior.
This country may come to be unrecognizable very soon. It is already disfigured.

Much of the world is currently involved with showing respect and sadness over the Queen's death. Events like this tend to unite many who otherwise rarely show much interest in the one being honored.
The momentum of the sadness tends to make anyone who shows even the slightest indifference a target. The old adage," never speak ill of the dead," can energize the attackers, but only unjustified criticism should be restrained. Objective evidence of serious and purposeful malfeasance should never be held back just because of death.
Chris Hedges has written his thoughts of the monarchy and its history. It clearly shows we must never be hesitant to be knowledgeable about the opposite of the prevailing sentiment.

I watched some of the debate between Fetterman and Oz in Pennsylvania. It reminded me again how important listening closely, watching for nuance, and the practice of critical thinking are to protecting yourself from anyone's attempt at deceit.
Oz was against federal control of abortion because it could codify it. He was for LOCAL governmental control because he expected that would restrict abortion.
I did not think Fetterman did well in what I saw (and that is not just focused on his health), but we are at a point where a debate losing dem is better than any repuke. Substance over flash or contrived polish is always the right choice.

And Donald Trump, who continues to insist he won the 2020 Presidential election and continues to claim, with zero evidence, that it was "rigged" and "stolen" from him, is planning to challenge the Pennsylvania Senate election results if Fetterman wins. In Trumpworld, any election won by a Republican is obviously fair but if a Democrat wins an election, well, obviously the election was rigged and there was cheating and widespread voter fraud.
Trump plans to challenge the 2022 elections – starting in Philadelphia
The former President is fixated on challenging the results of Pennsylvania’s Senate race, which he views – as one source puts it – as a "dress rehearsal for Trump 2024."

Unless you are a news junkie, it's easy to forget certain events over time. Additionally, the country is being drenched in disinformation sprayed everywhere by repukes. The media helps them by its "bothsiderism," that, for the unwary, works to camoflauge the repuke's vicious cruelty.
Michael Moore has published a list by Rep. Bill Pascrell that shows what is really going on. Use this when you vote.

The first 16 minutes, excluding opening commercials, of Keith Olbermann's podcast today, bluntly states why this country is dying.
The countless purveyors of daily disinformation have an immense audience of cretins with their mouths open, like baby birds, waiting for their next portion of total BS. They love it not caring that it is toxic to everything it touches.

Donald Trump denounces as a RINO (Republican In Name Only) any Republican who refuses to worship him, protect him and defend him. Bruce Maiman, former Sacramento Bee columnist and former KFBK talk-show host (for 12 years), says the real RINOs are "the Trump acolytes and MAGA fanatics" who care much more about Trump than they care about their party.
Opinion: Will the real Republicans please stand up?
Once upon a time, in a place long before Donald Trump, there were Republicans. Now there are only followers of Trump and Trump wannabes (looking at you, Ron DeSantis).

Being empathetic, compassionate, tolerant and open to progress and change is hard for humans. Democracy is hard and messy. It's easier to reject or attack what you don't like - and humans find it very easy to dislike anything or anybody - especially because...god.
The damage conservatives are doing to the country is in the open. Examples are Florida and Texas where viciousness. hate and repression are rampant. That many vote for cretins like those governors or others like Greene, Boebert, Gosar. Cruz and hundreds of others tells you what tendencies are common in humans and how flawed American's intelligence and reasoning is.
All this while the indifferent and apathetic "opposition " party sends mild letters of "disapproval"and does little else.
The cancer is metastasizing. American hate joins European hate.
