If I was management, I would keep playing possum...Get them shares cheap!!!
They've got til Tuesday.
I'm sorta like, they control the falling knife!!! 2.4 billion left in the buyback, not counting what's left in the 500M to Liberty.
But, you suggested that a guy who has been contributing to a SiriusXM blog, and publicly stated his stance as LONG, for almost 10 years only did so as a ruse to collect side money as a paid basher? Wouldn't the people paying him be pissed that he ended every article with "LONG SIRI?"
Have you been paid? If not, how do you know? Why has no one approached me?
I'm not looking to "start" anything, I'm just looking for clarification on the issue.
These guys are like chess players, thinking multiple moves ahead. With the still talking to the special committee statement they may have restructured LMCA to make a offer that the committee could accept. Expect the unexpected.
I stated my opinion. However you take it is up to you. To me 95% of his articles that I have read in the last 10 years have been negative, half glass full, or pro P, or Slacker! Or Iheart! Or that's what I have taken away from it. Imo
As far as being paid, you already know about ihub, so you know about paid bashers, this is the only board I post on and I can tell you, ain't nobody paid me skit. I'm here because my friends are. Can't help your more friends with Spencer than me. But, that's just the way I feel pretty much about all of his stuff. Sry
The irony is that we get hate mail from people who call him a pumper and ask who is paying him to pump the stock. Its about 50/50 actually. You think he's negative while others have been complaining for years that he is a blind long.
How can he be both?
I don't think he has ever been pro P. He likes slacker as a music service (so do I btw). I don't think he (or anyone else for that matter) has ever been pro iheart.
Why should I believe that? You're constantly pumping the stock no matter what move the company makes and your posts are loud and full of exclamation points!!!!
If someone where paid to pump, I would guess, by looking at your posts, that it would be you. Just my opinion.
Spencer and I are not close. No need to apologize.
So now im a paid pumper, when I've been bashing the crap outa these greedy bass turds!!! Enough said, enjoy your forum!!!
Redcloud, AKA "Lord of the Bulls" Signing Out!!! GLA
My point was that anyone can look like a pumper -- not that you actually are one. And, for the record, you do pump the shit out of this stock. You are always hitting the buy button and suggesting that the shorts can suck a D.
I'm not sure these paid bashers actually exist but, if they do, for every 100 people you think are paid to bash or pump a stock, maybe 1 really is.
BTW, I'm not mad. Just pointing out the strange world I live in. I've received emails from people complaining in both directions (pump/bash) about the same exact article before. Its hard to understand.
I've always had respect for Spencer because he held a long position for years and still had the nerve to call SiriusXM on their bad moves and misses. I'm not sure anyone has been more unbiased to their own detriment.
Lotta tempers flaring with the Malone shenanigans. We need a good run to make this a happy place again.
Did I seem angry? I'm really just trying to understand the thought process of how investors interact online. It is wholly unique to any other website/community I have ever had the pleasure of working in.
After every article on SA (and the likes) people call the writer of the article a pumper or a basher and then the commenters have at each other calling each other pumpers and bashers but, it only stands to reason that the majority of the people stating their thoughts are doing just that, stating their thoughts (not pumping or bashing).
To put it another way... if you read the comments on SA (or any stock blog/article) and assumed that the comments were true then, one would have to assume that some 98% of publishers are being paid to pump or bash the stock but... that can't be right.
People who talk about a stock and invest in that stock are likely biased in some way because they want to believe in their investment. If everyone realized that and took people at their word rather than assuming that someone was paying them to say it, the stock investing ecosystem would be a much more productive place for everyone.
Charles, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Text can come across as defensive but I think they're fair questions to ask.
I read a lot. The more you read and the more sources, the better the vantage point. Bias of some authors shines through but you take it all with a grain of salt. I find your site useful. If we were logging +$0.10 SIRI days, the conversations would be very different here. From the Malone shenanigans, I'm down the cost of a new car. Hopefully we get back on track soon.
buying at 3.20
1 day..... since the deal with no comment from Meyer.
Don't make me count to 2 days.
My 3.28 bid never filled yesterday so I got 3.20 this morning. This is all pretty unbelievable sh!t.
Good luck today guys.
Edit: sold @ 3.33......... I had to. I'm sorry. I hope to REALLY regret selling so low later this afternoon.
I would too but by the time pre market opens I think that opportunity will be past. Look at it this way. Sirius has just been released from a prison camp and although weakened, Sirius is severely undersold and I can't imagine anyone could rationally believe that the sp will spiral lower on the fantastic news. Give it a few days and I am certain we will be well on our way to where we should have been by now. I doubt the release from Malones greed grip will trigger any downgrades. In fact I would no be surprised at all if once all the cheep shares are snatched up there will be, at the very least reiteration of the high price targets that have all but been forgotten in the past several months. I am not too worried, but having a rather large stake in Sirius and possessing a normal amount of human emotion, It will be a while before my PTSD (post traumatic Sirius disorder) subsides. Hang in there everyone! This will be remembered as a great day!
bdp, I only sold the 10k shares that I picked up this morning for a quick trade and $1300 gain while drinking my first cup of coffee.
I'm still the proud bag holder of 300k shares.
