Relmor2003:
How much do you think the combined spectrum is worth, even at today's prices?
How much do you value the sats and the two new sats that will go up starting next year?
How much do you value the infrastructure necessary to support a sat radio enterprise?
How much do you value all the contracts with the worlds automakers?
How much value do you place on the content which is exclusive to SiriusXM?
When you think about all of this and the cash in the bank and our impressive synergys and the fact that we are affirming our guidance for 2009, and the fact that this is the only media company that continues to grow dispite the recession
(notwithstanding that we disagree on the 1st Q net subscriber additions) shouldn't the market capitalization be north of 3.2 billion dollars.
I can't see the share price dropping significantly anymore at all. We will be over one buck by the end of the year, and assuming we do get there say at the end of quarter 3 do you see as R/S before the end of the year? If so in what ratio?
I think we will see it too and I do support it at $1.00
By the way I added over 450K shares between 11 and 17 cents and I will continue to purchase more, at least 250K more maybe as early as tomorrow if the stock dips a little as it normally does on profit taking. My plan is to hold on to every share for a minimum of 60 months.
Johnny,
Yes, widespread, you betcha! I don't post much because I am a rather shy person and not quite up to speed with many who share their opinions and information here, but I think I know a good thing when I see it. I am holding long 255K shares at .32 avg. so I am a happy camper. It is all inside my IRA and I have no plans to sell for sometime to come barring any negative developments. I am learning a great deal in here and that can sometimes be a little tough on an old grandmother! I don't short term trade...way to scary for me, but it sure is nice to see others use their talents to fatten their pockets/purses. I see great things in store for SIRI and I am patient. If I see things turning sour I am not afraid to pull the trigger. Just don't see it happening...clear skies on the horizon.

LMaze,
There are a couple of threads in which this topic was already discussed.

sorry man, completely missed that.
the best post in the thread came after i asked him this:
Quote:
street, just wondering why in the world would any of the shorts wait to cover until now?
wouldn't the best case scenario have been to cover at .05-.10?
did they really think they wouldn't have to cover their positions?
his response:
i know, it's just a guy on a message board. a yahoo message board at that, but he seems pretty spot on and he's been calling it play by play (give or take a couple of cents) for the past couple of weeks.Quote:
Think about this.
Who are the BIG shorts and what is their goal?
As an hypothetical example let's say that I am Ergen. What was my goal? To take control of SIRI, right.
Step 1: Buy up the debt
Step 2: Short the stock (100m shares @ $1)
Step 3: Short the stock some more(100m @.69c)
Step 4: Short the stock some more(100m @ .28c)
Step 5: Force SIRI to turn over control because they can't repay their debts, especially with the stock price @.10c
Step 6: OH CRAP! My plan didn't work. Malone screwed me. At least I made money off the debt purchase.
Step 7: SLOWLY unwind my short positions without running the price up too fast.
Step 8: Count what is left over.
I would not have closed my short positions before SIRI struck a deal with Liberty.
Obviously, there is NO way I can cover 300 million shares @ .05c, especially when the average daily volume is only 60 to 70 million. I would need to cover in increments to keep from sending the share price up too fast. I also realize that others know this and will be bidding up the stock, trying to make me pay.
Most retail shorts probably did cover, but not the strategically placed shorts.
Interesting????
The internet is abound with rumors and this latest one from Blu-ray.com alludes that Sirius XM satellite radio might be exclusively working with Sony to bring the paid service to PSN. According to the insider -- who has allegedly seen business plans of the joint venture -- Sirius XM will be selling monthly, genre-specific subscription packs for $2.49 on the PlayStation Store.
