Just a mental milestone going from the teens to the twenties????????
You can't buy at .1901, .1908 on Etrade unless you put in a bid at .20 and you could get screwed. I have to wait for it to be at .19 or under with a bid at .19 because Etrade won't let me buy in more than 2 decimals. It's so frustrating - they only allow this for OTC stocks. I know if it's trading low .19's and a put a market order, its also going to be a screw job and could wind up buying at any price knowing these MM's (market manipulators)
SCOTTRADE is the best and only 7.00 per trade and allows 4 decimal trades. I think they give free trades when you transfer an account.
Were gonna blast through that 20 cent ceiling soon. Its a confidence issue like the rest of wall street.
Look, we all know SIRIUS / XM is the way of the future. The .20 barrier will be history soon.
I wonder if in 1876 when Alexander Bell invented the telephone, people were are all doubting whether the telephone is gonna catch on or not.
Nobody in their right mind is gonna want to go back to FM radio when they have had their taste of SIRIUS /XM. Has anyone here been to a Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep car dealer lately to see SIRIUS Backseat TV installed in a new SUV. It is awesome! Heres a link, check it out:

SIRI share price will come back. Dont even think of selling at 20 cents. No one is getting my shares at a mere 20 cents.
Hang in there, we are going to do well. Load up on it while its sooo cheap.

have any of you gotten estimates... you dont take the cheapest one...Do You???
at 10.00 a trade ameritrade lets me get level 2 and .0000 trade abibity. help me to understand why people stay with there firms when they only trade to 2 .s . i'm new but you whine about trades to 2d. but you won't do anything about it...i'm not married to ameritrade, and im very open to a better company... but what TF... if i had all these things i didnt like about a company , and all i had to do was to take this part of my investments out from wherever, and the problem would seem to be solved... what... help me to understand why is this so hard , i vam a bottom feeder... i live by what you guys say and i am unable to let this statement compute... help... i respect all coments, and political opinions...but to stay with a company that appears to screw you at every trade... why stay???
hey pilot i dont get it either, just transfer your account to a better service, if enough people do it e-trade will get smart and change it.
With Etrade, I can trade in Pre and After market. Siri is the first "penny" stock I have traded, so I never ran into this problem in the past.
How difficult or easy is it to transer all my stocks a $$ to another online broker?
For some of you long time users of Ameritrade, how long does it take for your electronic transfers to clear? My etrade account clears me for immediate availability. I can do a transfer and 30 seconds later make a buy. Was very nice during this latest runup from .13s.
Personally, limiting me to two decimal places hasn't really hurt me, although I can't put a limit order in and forget it. I'll have to keep an eye on the action and when the price hits in the area I want, I put in an order. So far I haven't been "screwed", but having the capability to go out 4 places would be convenient.

I have Etrade as well. Bought 13K shares the other day at .1453. Bid/Ask was .1450/.1454. I put a limit order in at .15. It was immidiately filled at .1453. I do not believe that you can use a market order with etrade on penny stocks. Could be wrong! Use limit order and it should execute at or below your limit price!
I'll tell you what I know - I was just in the same boat as many of you with both the 2 decimal thing... and killer fees.... and hell - with one of the brokerage sites I used they only let you buy if a stock is on their "approved" list....
Transferring is generally an easy thing to do - with one caveat.... certain places - like sharebuilder - don't do the transfer by something called adats or acats (can't recemember exact acronym) bottom line is they can't do an electronic wire of all your securities/investments. I liked sharebuilder way better than my first brokerage firm - Wells Trade (please God don't use them unless you already have a few mil laying around, the fees will kill you).
I just got TD Ameritrade - and it will take me 4-6 days to transfer everything remaining in my Wells Trade versus 4-6 weeks to transfer to sharebuilder.... so far of those three - I really am liking TD Ameritrade -
The moral of the story is - do some research ahead of time - and call/ask how they transfer your assets and how long it will take. Then also (so you don't get blindsided) make sure you ask the losing brokerage (in my case Wells Fargo) what fees they impose on a transfer....(for them it's 70 friggin dollars - another reason I hate wells fargo)
I've heard good things about scott trade also - but wow the tools on ameritrade are seriously kick @$$......
i have not transfered a position from anywhere to ameritrade... i started here partially because of 4 decimal trades but everything i have used about the company has been more than and some... mostly over my head and i believe it will be a long time before i grow out of this company...BUT i'm always open to listen to and find better tools to help me in my novice trading... i want to MAKE MONEY NOT LOOSE IT, and i try to be a sponge to all opinions and thought streams... thats where pilot fish live...in the life waters of the world... living off the discards of others... MAY THERE BE LOTS OF DISCARDS OF FORTUNE FOR US ALL... in buisness and faith that we will survive and prosper... pilotfish.........ps i do 99% of all my trades on the run on a iphone with istocktrader and i have instant conformantion...level 2...access to all my accounts.. charts...news...chains...and best of all... LIVE... you can check out the features at istockmanager.com i cant fathom trading without it... LUCK TO ALL
i trade pre and post hours with ameritrade and they let you choose just about every way to trade... day...day+ext...gtc..gtc+ext...ext.am...ext.pm...m kt stpos...mkt limits...t-stops,% & $ ...buy to cover...sell short...all from my iphone...couldnt trade without it...no access to a computer at trading times of importance...8-9:45am/ 3:30-5pm...instant trades...instant access... INSTANT GRATIFICATION...
$10.00 and my first 500 trades were free for 30 days!
10 dollars for a pre market or after market trade on SIRI? damn.. Wonder why etrade is so much more expensive during premarket and aftermarket hours...
Anyone see the MM's letting us past .20 this week??? Maybe .30???
"Hopeful I know..."
As I have only been with TDAmeritrade since it was just Ameritrade I didn't even realize other firms did not allow 4 decimal trading nor did I realize they charged for volume. Sam Watterston is right!
