Thanks sl62. I tinkered around with it and it let me use the .33 shares I bought today as the shares I sold for .34 (even though I sold the .34 shares before i bought the .33 shares).

so, i had a short term gain of $81, a long term loss of $74, and a short term loss of $7 today. Is that a good way of structuring it???

my overall position in SIRI (having started in this dog in 03/2004) is now 50,255 shares, average pps $1.7702.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what to expect tomorrow?? and a good buy in??

Congrats to everyone. John, I'm right with you buddy. I've been averaging my ass off and with my last small buy at .25 I got my average to .86. It'll be interesting to see the news or analysis that has been causing this liftoff. I'm going to keep buying on dips if it stays down around here and more funds become available.

All Right WTF, I was away all day and I come back to this fantastic move..... can someone give me the Cliff Note version to spare some reading.... this is Fn Great..... I left in the evening last night found out there was a pull back at the end of yesterday that got me full position a .2303 and now .36 and climbing....

Does anyone think there is much of a chance that this drops to under .30 again?

If I mess around with which lot I sold, then I can reflect a long term LOSS greater than or equal to my short term GAIN. Also, my PPS goes down when I do this.

Soooooooooooo, my question is: Given the information provided above, what is the best way to structure my 10700 share sale today???

If you are in Etrade you are given the option of which lot you want to sell it is at the top of the page just above the place order box. That is one reason I dont like Etrade pro you cant pick and choose the lots unless you go to the main page of your account and if you dont pick then, then it is first in first out. I saw sl62 post on this I dont think he is realizing the long term gain and short term gain is different long you pay less (capital gains tax) the other you pay income tax rate. Plus I think as long as it is a loss in the same capital you get to claim more then the 3,000. Then again I am not an accountant so that is something you should be asking him about.
