Most Retrumplicans inexplicably worship Donald Trump. They don't care that he violates the law, violates the Constitution, violates the Presidential oath of office, mishandles classified documents, cheats on his taxes, solicits election interference from foreign countries, spreads lies of voter fraud and a stolen election and incites a deadly riot at the Capitol. An overwhelming majority of Retrumplicans still want him to be their nominee in 2024. Paul Ryan believes Trump will not be the nominee. Time will tell.

Trump has 'repeatedly' discussed choosing Marjorie Taylor Greene as his 2024 running mate: journalist
 Business Insider, Oct 22 2022

Donald Trump has "repeatedly" discussed choosing Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene as his running mate. He's been discussing it since February, New York Times magazine reporter Robert Draper told The Daily Beast. Trump is considering Greene because of her unflagging loyalty to him, Draper said.

A recent Marquette Law School poll found that 72% of Americans do not think Biden should run for re-election in 2024. If Biden and Trump are both on the ballot, 40% would vote for Biden, 36% would vote for Trump, 18% would vote for a candidate from another party – and 6% would not bother to vote.

In January 2019, Harris entered the Presidential race and was considered a front-runner but, citing a lack of funds, she dropped out of the race in December. She will likely be Biden's running mate in 2024. However, if Biden should decide against running for re-election, Harris may run for President. This poll should be encouraging to her – but keep in mind it is only one poll and only 800 people took part.

In any other country in the world, a President would be given a lengthy prison sentence for spreading lies of a "rigged, stolen election" and inciting a deadly riot – but in the United States, the President who spread lies of a "rigged, stolen election" and incited a deadly riot has not (yet) been charged with a crime and he is free to run for another term. The Supreme Court may eventually have to decide whether to uphold the 14th Amendment to the Constitution and declare Donald Trump ineligible to ever again hold public office.

Trump deepens attacks on DeSantis as he inches toward 2024 comeback bid
 Bloomberg, Nov 8 2022 5:49 PM

Donald Trump escalated his rivalry with Ron DeSantis, warning that he would expose damaging information if the Florida Governor were to challenge him for the 2024 Republican Presidential nomination. "If he runs, he could hurt himself very badly," Trump said in an interview with Fox News. "I would tell you things about him that won’t be very flattering. I know more about him than anybody, other than, perhaps, his wife. I don’t know if he’s running. I think the base would not like it. I don’t think it would be good for the party."

On November 6, Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel told CNN's Dana Bash the committee will cease paying Donald Trump's legal bills after he announces he's running for President. "We cannot pay legal bills for any candidate that’s announced," she confirmed. I wonder what Donald Trump's blindly loyal supporters think when they realize the hard-earned money they donate to his campaign is actually being used to pay his attorneys.

SHOCK POLL: DeSantis beating Trump by SEVEN after midterms – brutal swing of 29 points in days
 Mediaite, Nov 12 2022 11:01 PM

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis beat former President Donald Trump by a convincing seven points in a post-midterm poll, a brutal swing of 29 points from a similar poll days earlier. According to a new YouGov poll taken after the midterms and published today, "More Republicans and Republican-leaning Independents now say they’d prefer DeSantis (42%) as their 2024 Presidential nominee over Trump than say they’d prefer Trump to DeSantis (35%)." Just days before the election, Trump led DeSantis by 22 points in a Morning Consult poll.

New poll shows Trump behind DeSantis by double digits in key Republican primary states
 Mediaite, Nov 14 2022 5:44 PM

Former President Donald Trump trails Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in key Republican primary states, according to a new poll released by the conservative organization Club For Growth. DeSantis has not publicly ruled out a run for President. Many Republicans fear another Trump run could damage the party. Conducted November 11 to November 13, the poll shows DeSantis leading Trump in four states among likely Republican caucus and primary voters in those states.

In Iowa, which hosts the first-in-the-nation caucuses, DeSantis leads Trump 48% to 37%. Those figures represent a dramatic swing from a survey conducted in August by the same pollster, which found Trump leading DeSantis 52% to 37%. DeSantis holds a 52% to 37% lead in New Hampshire after being tied with Trump in August. Trump is far behind in Florida, 56% to 30%. In Georgia, DeSantis leads 55% to 35%.
