Cirque is composed of some incredible gymnasts. Their shows are amazing.

That's okay, won't hold that against you. ;)
Good song, never heard it before. Lovin' the hairdos. :D
Ya know I'm just wanting to get into those political discussions.
About as much as I want a root canal.[/QUOTE]
You are clearly a smart gal - choosing to elect to forgo the root canal.
Yes, you have to love the 80's hair!! The Hooters are most definitely a "regional band". They still perform even though it was done and over with by the 90's.
Thanks for not holding it against me, many do, especially here in Ann Arbor. I went to a "rival" university, and I'm not a democrate - 2 strikes already and I haven't been up to bat. My claim is that everyone comes from somewhere.................. Seems to bewilder most for some time.
You two are a bad influence. Bed time is 10 for me and here I am............. No wonder why my daughter asked, "daddy, are you sleeping?" at 4 this afternoon. I was; emphasize, "was" at the time.
Good night!
I once made the mistake of asking a professional violinist that exact question. I used Dvorak's New World Symphony as an example. I had 'conducted' it many, many times. (surreptitiously)
She told me my movements were wrong, (I demonstrated) and that the musicians would not know what I was asking of them. I have ruminated over this for years, studied conducters and watched this particular piece being conducted by various individuals.
The conductor trains musicians as to his/her expectations. And obviously knows the rules, what ever they are. And knows the score intimately.
I would know nothing of this, so I am corrected - somewhat. But it would be fun to try.
Okay gang. This will be our last opportunity to post great music to this thread - and to listen to it. Why, you ask?
Because, because... well, the world is over tomorrow. Kaput! Finis! End! So saith some of the usual cranks.
So, let's detach the jetway and push this baby away from the terminal. And then go somewhere. May as well die somewhere nice, right? Make some suggestions. We leave in around 4 hours. The captain and crew are ready.
Here's another under-rated group, The Guess Who. Lead singer, Burton Cummings. I always liked that name. Kind of elegant. Compared to Slash.
'Undun' is a great, jazzy tune with interesting lyrics. Love it!

And, 'These Eyes'. Nice.

Let's enjoy these and the earlier sounds on this thread. But do it quickly. You know what's coming.

This thread is addicting. Searching for songs leads me to another, and another....Can't end this now Atyp. Not gonna let a little thing like the end of the world stop us!
I'll board the plane if we're heading some place sunny, warm sand, gentle breeze, with palm trees swaying, and nonstop Margaritas That leaves Michigan out.
One good thing we won't have to pack much. Not a lot of time to wear different outfits ;)
Any suggestions where we might find this paradise?
Julie, nice work dude-ette.
I'm feeling a little, well......

And if you like that one, here it is really live http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mvD9...eature=related
Perhaps Hawaii. Never been there but have never heard anyone say they didn't like it.
You're right. Pack light.
I think a nude beach sounds about right. And Margaritas. Moonlight, warm breezes and drinks.
And 'Waltzing Matilda' for those with a macabre sense of humor. A distant reference, but appropriate.
Thank you SL. It is with much trial and many errors that I have finally caught on to doing something that turned out to be so utterly simple. I was making it much harder than it actually was, something I tend to do in many other areas.
By the way (or BTW) I have never seen that group before. Does that make me out of it?
On this trip nothing matters. Just enjoy the ride.
Ruben Blades is Panamanian. He has acted in many movies and has a law degree, too. Saw him in person. Stood the entire two plus hours - no chairs - who cared.
I once saw him interviewed on television. He was asked where he went to school and got his degree. He said he transferred to Harvard in his senior year of law school. The host said, "Why did you do that"? His response; "You think I'm stupid"?
His music, and much of other latin music is very sensual, exciting, beautiful and can't be topped for pure joy. The percussion alone is wondrous to hear. This song is an example of his style. Listen and watch the conga, bongo and timbale player's solos. If you don't get to movin', then you ain't really alive. Viva la raza.
Todos Vuelven 4/6/14 (exchanged the prior video for another that is more expansive; a form of evolution)

:peeping: We're still here Atyp. The thread continues....
And here we could have been in Hawaii, sipping a Margarita and soaking up rays.
Yes, and I would be out money for jet fuel.
But the trip, drinks and sun would have been worth it, right?
Most certainly worth it.
