Dominion attorney Justin Nelson said "the truth matters." Not to Fox News it doesn't! If Donald Trump is innocent of election interference (as he claims to be) and his phone call pressuring Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to "find" enough votes to give him a victory is "perfect" (as he claims it is), then why doesn't he want the chance to defend himself in court? Of course, defendants have to swear to "tell the truth." Trump is incapable of telling the truth.

The Georgia Supreme Court today unanimously dismissed a longshot bid by former President Donald Trump to disqualify District Attorney Fani Willis and quash the special grand jury report that recommended criminal charges in her probe of Georgia's 2020 election. The ruling from Georgia's highest court came just weeks before Willis, the top Atlanta prosecutor who led the investigation into efforts by Trump and his allies to interfere in President Joe Biden's electoral victory in the Peach State, is expected to seek indictments.

Former President Donald Trump said today in a post on Truth Social he’s been informed by special counsel Jack Smith that he is a target of the criminal investigation into efforts to overturn the 2020 election, a sign he may soon be charged by the special counsel: "Deranged Jack Smith, the prosecutor with Joe Biden’s DOJ, sent a letter stating that I am a TARGET of the January 6th Grand Jury investigation and giving me a very short 4 days to report to the Grand Jury, which almost always means an Arrest and Indictment."
While Trump didn’t say specifically why he was told to report to the grand jury, individuals who receive a target letter typically are given the chance to appear before a grand jury to present evidence or testify if they choose. Smith declined to comment when asked by CNN about the target letter and whether his office is preparing to indict the former President.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney today rejected Donald Trump’s effort to halt the criminal investigation he faces in Georgia, saying the former President’s allegations of prosecutorial misconduct are meritless. The ruling, which follows a similar decision from the Georgia Supreme Court in early July, ends a long-shot bid by Trump to derail Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’s investigation into interference in the November 2020 Presidential election. Willis is expected to announce her charging decisions in the coming weeks.
