someone just dumped to take profit.....only explanation. It'll be back up.
Now, that is what I call manipulation ... How many stops did it hit ?
not a smart decision to have stops @ around this price range.... IMO
what's your explanation? please don't say manipulation again. Jeez. I mean, perhaps it is, but, why is profit taking not a serious possiblity? That's exactly what happens when someone sells a lot of stock to take profit. The value drops as the order fills up until the lowest sale price the seller will accept. I really don't see why this price drop is attributed to manipulation without any thought that market forces could have been in play. JMHO.
lol That's weird alright. And what got me was the volume! I was watching it at 3:50 pm and thinking to myself that it would be a little over 100 million shares traded today, and then BOOM!, twice that many shares in a couple minutes!?!? Well, that's SIRI for ya! Looks like another gap opening up Monday morning unless it drops before then.
I sold my entire position at .45 earlier in the day and bought back at .4005 with a .41 bid AON (didn't think it would hit, then bought, hit and closed at .36 on my etrade, but really at .44 - .45.) I sweated it out all day thinking it could close at .50, but all that volume around .46 was the shorts loading up so the MM's could drop the hammer and pull it into the high .30's so they could get some back or cover their short positions.
That was a scam, but I somehow I took advantage of it - who knows I could have been a split second from picking mine up in the .30's.
I guess that was the rebalancing.
Even Yahoo shows close of .36, up .09 after hours at .43.
My sell in after hours at .48 just in case some crazy pop.
I hope others got as lucky as me & didn't get washed out with a stop order - that's why I won't use them with this stock.
3:55-4:00PM in the 5min prior to trading ending i see 30.6MM shares traded in the range of .44 to .31...
3:50-3:55 in the 5min prior to the last 5 min of trading today, i see 21.69MM shares between .4617 to .4290.....
20mm just went through at .36 right after 7 mil at .44, still huge huge volujke going on here
wow, that was f'd up!!!!
im showing 364,000,000 volume????????????????
I left my desk @ 3:15 and we were at about 92 mil. in volume. WTF was that!!! I've only held this stock since Feb. and I dont recall a jump like that ever, not even during the sell off @ .63. I don't have all the fancy lookup gadgets but how many trades took place to get the extra 250 mil. shares traded. Was it one huge dump?
guys i could be wrong but this could be the prelude to something big.
it was the russel index rebalance, I just hope this doesnt take away all chances of a short covering, but it probably did.
holding strong at .44 in AH....the thing is the drop which may have been caused by russell index rebalance triggered a SHITLOAD of stop limit orders. but it is all healthy no manipulation in my opinion..but wtf do i know
agreed....man we need some transparency in this market for retailers. we wont find out if this was the exit for shorts, but it happened so fast maybe most didnt catch it, unless they had trailing stops on the way up which brought the price back up to .44
hey irish , i hate bugging you , but your hella smarter than i am with siri...when we dropped to .25 before the big run up to .63 , is this a similiar pattern?
