Moderate Democrats are fearful that if Bernie Sanders is the nominee, King Donald's re-election will be a certainty. Joe Biden can easily defeat King Donald but first he has to win the nomination. Biden pretty much has to win all the primaries that take place on March 3: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont and Virginia.
Sanders sends Democratic establishment into panic mode
"In 30-plus years of politics, I’ve never seen this level of doom," said one prominent centrist Democrat.

The latest aggregate of national polls – https://fivethirtyeight.com – foresees Sanders winning tomorrow night's debate, winning the primaries and winning the Democratic nomination. Moderate Democrats fear Sanders would fail to win the Presidency. At least one Republican believes otherwise.

King Donald the First has a galaxy-sized ego and believes he is solely responsible for gains in the Dow, NASDAQ, S&P and Russell 3000. "If I don't win, you're going to see a crash like you've never seen before," declares King Donald, who obviously knows nothing about the Wall Street Crash of September-October 1929 which led to the Great Depression. Of course even if he did know, he would still make the same egocentric prediction. Sad!

Letter from Paul Ekstrom of Carpinteria in today's Los Angeles Times:
"I think the most effective step in protecting the integrity of our elections is to have the popular vote determine the winner. The electoral college is easily manipulated by special interests both domestic and foreign. Key electoral votes can easily tip the scale without representing the majority of voters. It is time to give all Americans a voice in who is elected."
Amen!

Trump's campaign staff finally decided "Woke" would be the perfect word to emblazon on caps and sweatshirts. I understand they were also considering "Fab," "Groovy," "Gnarly" and "Tubular."

Los Angeles Times columnist Robin Abcarian refuses to accept the dire predictions that if Bernie Sanders is the Democratic nominee, Trump will be re-elected and Democrats will lose control of the House. After all, Sanders is doing well in the polls and primaries and Trump is the most unpopular President in history. Moderate and centrist democrats are horrified by Sanders calling himself a democratic socialist but most Americans support his proposals of Medicare for all and tuition-free public colleges – and they have no objections to Medicare and Social Security, which are socialist programs.
Bernie Sanders isn’t going to destroy the Democratic Party. He just might save it.
