Good morning User! Good morning everyone... Looks like SIRI is down in pre-market. Let's hope that it rebounds. Was watching T. Boone Pickens this morning and one of the guests asked a very interesting question "Do you think the problems with VW stops there? Do you think other diesel car manufacturers are fudging their emission numbers? How about gasoline cars?" I think T. Boone was a bit surprised about the gasoline cars as he never really thought about it. This could be bigger than we can imagine!
Hey LB! Always good to see you. How's trading been? Hey, you been bass fishing lately? We've been dove hunting a few times. We needed a cold front to move in to push those birds down south. We think this will be a good weekend to go.
Don't mind him. He's alienating himself from the group with all his nasty comments about senior citizens while calling people nasty names. You're best is to put him on ignore like several of us have.
Re. the GolfTec 10-lesson package, please don't make the same mistake I made. Like yourself, I was totally flattered by what I learned in the "evaluation" session that I could not wait to get on with the program. So, I jumped in with both feet in what turned out to be a much too aggressive schedule. As I recall, for the first 5 or 6 weeks I was in a lesson per week, and visited the store at least 4 other trips a week where I engaged myself in an hour of practice. Oh, I also got out a played at least two rounds per week.
Well, I soon learned that was not the best approach..... and I think I saw early signs of burn out.
So, I backed off of that pace and found that was the right thing to do.
Keep in mind that they offer bonus credits for referring business to them. It may be a cash credit now, but when I started it was a free lesson for each referral who came in for the evaluation. I earned 4 such credits and none of my referrals went beyond the evaluation stage........ It's been 6 months since my last lesson, so today's freebie will be a nice tune up, and then I still have 2 bonus lessons in the bank to use prior to March of next year......... Moral of the story is to get the best out of the lesson package, but attempt to spread it out.... and strive for a few bonus referrals to keep the results going.
PS. My coach used Justin Rose as my video model but somehow he (my coach) fell short in his effort to mold my game to emulate my model.:out:
I'm sitting on a couple of buy orders this morning (my accumulation shares), so I can handle at least a shallow dip before the next rebound.
RE: T. Boone, here's a funny story... As you might know, he is a huge contributor at his alma mater, Oklahoma State Univ. As a result, the new admin building at one end zone of the football stadium is dedicated to him. Ironically, the building contractor was a Oklahoma U. supporter, and on the first occasion of TV coverage at a football game you could see in the pattern of the brickwork the message "Go O. U."................. I'm told that within a week thse bricks were replaced.
Midas, you asked that question a few days ago and my reply was that things happen too quickly on the golf course to allow access to a camera. For example, I cited a Florida Black Panther which sprang out of the brush, grabbed a rabbit then dashed back out of sight before one could blink an eye. No way could I have retrieved a camera for that.
