Sixteen women have accused Donald Trump of groping and sexual misconduct, things he once bragged about doing. He has said every one of those 16 women is lying. Unfortunately, none of them will be attending the State Of The Union address -- but other sexual assault victims will be there. Sooner or later, Trump will have to face his accusers.

On January 20, the anniversary of Donald Trump's inauguration, hundreds of thousands of marchers in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Philadelphia, San Francisco and dozens of other cities held rallies to protest Trump's racism, his attitude toward women and his anti-immigration policies. The marchers also expressed support for the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements, which have forced many sexually abusive men (but not Donald Trump.......yet) from their positions of power.
The marchers hope to mobilize voters to elect more Democrats, more women and more progressives in the 2018 midterm elections. As Senator Kirsten Gillibrand told marchers in Washington DC, "It is women who are holding our country together in these dangerous times."

Justice has been served. Here is an excerpt from the story: "Nassar was charged with molesting seven girls or young women but he is accused of sexual misconduct or abuse by well over 100. His victims — including Olympians Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas and McKayla Maroney — have said he molested them under the guise of conducting medical treatments. Athletes and their parents were told repeatedly that when he touched and penetrated them inappropriately, he was adhering to a proven method for healing sports injuries." Yeah, how did that "proven method" work out for you, Larry?

Some people have a fear of circus clowns. Here is one reason why:
The #MeToo movement hits the circus: 'Grandma' the clown resigns
New York Times, January 23 2018
One of America’s most revered circus performers, Grandma the clown, has resigned from the world-renowned Big Apple Circus after it was revealed that he pressured 16-year-old aerialist Zoey Dunne into posing for pornographic photos in 2004. Barry Lubin, 65, who played Grandma in a wig, pearls and a lumpy red dress to audiences of millions, offered his resignation on Friday shortly after Dunne contacted the circus to accuse him, said the circus’s chairman, Neil Kahanovitz, on Tuesday. Lubin, through his lawyer, released a statement acknowledging and apologizing for his conduct: "The allegations are true. What I did was wrong and I take full responsibility for my actions."

In 2017, when hundreds of women started speaking out about being sexually harassed or assaulted, actress-acticist Alyssa Milano encouraged victims to use the MeToo hashtag on Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat and other platforms. She was unaware that Tarana Burke had started a Me Too movement a decade earlier. Burke told The New York Times that when she saw Milano's tweet, "Initially I panicked. I felt a sense of dread because something that was part of my life’s work was going to be co-opted and taken from me and used for a purpose that I hadn’t originally intended." She needn't have worried. Milano and Burke are now working together to encourage victims to speak out.

Head of US Forest Service steps down amid sexual misconduct allegations
CBS News, Mar 8 2018 2:!0 PM
U.S. Forest Service chief Tony Tooke has stepped down just days after an investigation was launched into sexual misconduct allegations against him and amid reports of rampant misbehavior, including rape, within the agency's ranks. A Forest Service spokesman today confirmed Tooke's sudden retirement less than seven months after he was named to the post by Agriculture Secretary Sonny Purdue. His departure comes less than a week after PBS NewsHour reported Tooke was under investigation following relationships with subordinates before he became chief.
