As of version 5.2 of Pocket Tunes Radio, you can play Sirius Internet Radio. We added support for Web-based stations and this allows you to play stations that normally require you to be using a PC rather than a mobile device.
Here are the steps to do that:
**Note: You must have a paid subscription to Sirius Internet Radio to use this with Pocket Tunes Radio
- Go to the "Web" tab in Pocket Tunes Radio and enter www.sirius.com
(** Canadian Sirius customers, the Canadian page, www.sirius.ca, does not display properly on the iPhone/touch. Go to the bottom of the screen and tap "Site Map in the lower right)
- Tap on "Media Player" at the top of the screen
(**Canadian Sirius customers tap "Listen Online" in the site map)
- You will then get the login screen
- Enter the username and password you use to access your Sirius channels on-line.
- Enter the appropriate security characters and tap "Sign In"- You are then taken to the top level listing of the Sirius stations available on-line.
In this example we'll tap "Music"- You then see the sub-listings for the selection you made, in this case Music
Now let's choose "Rock"- You are then given the list of stations within that group.
- Tap on the station you want to play. In this case we will tap on "Classic Vinyl"- Now the station loads, you will see the "Loading Audio" message.
- You can leave the window up or press "Hide" to dismiss it. Either way the station will load
- Press "Now Playing" to go back to the main screen.- The station should start playing shortly and if you go to "Now Playing" you should see it listed there
- Tapping the "Add to Favorites" icon will add the station to the "Web" section of your Favorites. You can then load the station with one tap. Due to the unique way we support this type of station, Pocket Tunes will go to the Web tab but it will load the station automatically.
DETROIT (Dow Jones)- Ford Motor Co. (F) has halted production at one of its two F-150 pickup truck assembly plants for three weeks because of slow consumer demand.
Production of Ford's Super Crew pickup, Super Cab, Super Crew Cab and King Crew Cab, built at the auto maker's Kansas City Assembly plant in Missouri, is being suspended until April 20, a company spokeswoman confirmed Wednesday. The company will continue to build F-150s at its Dearborn Truck plant in Michigan.
The temporary shutdown underscores the weakness in demand that auto makers continue to contend with in the U.S. market.
Honda Motor Co. (HMC) said Tuesday it is offering voluntary buyouts, cutting pay and introducing 13 non-production days at its North American plants to cut output by 62,000 vehicles.
Chrysler LLC also said Tuesday it has stopped production of its Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Avenger cars for four weeks due to a continued decline in demand. Production at the Sterling Heights Assembly plant in Michigan was halted Monday.

Is the pocket tunes the Sirius app I've been waiting for ? If so I'm severely disappointed! It was difficult to find and there's no way consumers will b aware of it or know it has Sirius
No, not at all.
Sirius will come out with their own app that is much more user friendly to satrad. The Pocket Tunes is not so userfriendly, but it does play SiriusXM from the Web tab.
We SIRI investors are just excited bc its a little step in a big direction. When the Sirius app comes out it will have a much bigger effect on SIRI than Pocket Tunes.
Correction: it plays the web based audio stream that Sirius supplies of the satrad programming.
My wife just downloaded the app onto her her IPhone and she said it was REALLY AMAZING. She can not figure out how to minimize it to the back ground for using phone or texting etc. but other than that it is the just like having sirius on your sat device.
Holy cow, I just looked and realized I'm no longer a Junior Member here.
YEA!!!:thumbup::clap::clap::cheers:
Just kidding. Perhaps I'd be more excited about promotions if I had had a job in the past 4 years...
Most likely, playing Pocket Tunes in the background (like the iPod function of the iPhone) is not possible.
iPhone software doesnt allow most apps to do it. With a little research you can figure out how to do it if you jailbreak. Otherwise, I hear rumors that the new iPhone software version upgrade 3.0 will have that ability for more apps.
I know its not possible to play Pandora in the background either.
It's like I'm psychic or something...(GM's loss is Fords gain)
Ford sold 46,467 North American-made cars and 78,298 light trucks in March, about 10,000 more than expected. Was it the TALF? No mention of its impact was made. It is worth noting, however, that Ford sold $3 billion of TALF-eligible asset-backed securities on March 19 (settlement date March 25), an amount that could support the sale of 100,000 vehicles priced at $30,000. Nissan also issued TALF-eligible asset-backed securities in March, about $1.4 billion. The TALF will directly benefit the economy by funneling money to borrowers. With it, a variety of manufacturing-related data will turn. Industry-wide sales are expected to have run at a pace of 9.2 million overall in March and 6.5 million for domestically produced vehicles, up from 9.1 million and 6.5 million, respectively. The pace for both was the worst since December 1981. Know What You Own: In midday trading on Friday, the most active stocks...
