A district court judge has ruled that the President does not have the power to order White House aides to defy subpoenas. "Presidents are not Kings," she pointed out. Emperor Trump, who insists he's "transparent" (which is a lie) and has "done nothing wrong" (which is a lie), will appeal the ruling. Of course.

Giuliani's Ukrainian associates, and perhaps Giuliani himself, will likely be charged with money laundering, campaign finance violations and obstruction of justice. Wouldn't it be funny if Trump and Giuliani wind up sharing the same prison cell?

Regarding a judge's ruling that the President does not have the power to order Don McGahn to ignore a subpoena to testify before the House, the lying, cheating, crooked, corrupt, self-serving, orange-skinned Tweeter-In-Chief said this morning, "I would actually like to have people testify. Don McGahn's respected lawyer already stated I did nothing wrong. I would love to have Mike Pompeo, Rick Perry, Mick Mulvaney and many others testify in the phony impeachment hoax." Yeah, that's why he's been ordering White House officials to refuse to comply with subpoenas to testify and to turn over documents. And Emperor Trump continues to call the impeachment investigation a "hoax," a "scam" and "phony." How about agreeing to testify under oath, Emperor Trump? If you've truly done "nothing wrong," you should be glad to testify, right? Oh, wait. He would be under oath and would be sworn to tell the truth. Never mind.

Letter from Glenda Tamblyn of Palmdale in today's Los Angeles Times:
"I wish the media would do two things. First, they should remind the GOP that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell declared his intent to make Barack Obama a one-term President from the day he was sworn in. This would dispel the victimization argument that people have been 'out to get' Trump from the beginning. Second, they should ask the GOP why the overwhelming evidence that Trump violated the Constitution in myriad ways does not warrant impeachment.
For the love of the Constitution, if holding up aid for a country battling our adversary in exchange for that country creating a hint of scandal against his major political rival, obstructing a legitimate Congressional investigation of said actions, denigrating our State Department and undermining our intelligence community are not impeachable offenses, what are?"

Next week, the House Intelligence Committee will give the House Judiciary Committee a report summarizing the findings of its impeachment investigation. There will then be several hearings to examine the evidence against Trump and the seriousness of the accusations. Will the President, who continues to insist he's done "nothing wrong," attend any of the hearings? I could be wrong but I think he will not. He views the entire impeachment inquiry as a "scam" and a "hoax" and he knows his presence would give the hearing additional legitimacy.

Emperor Trump abused his power and violated the Constitution and his oath of office by withholding Congressionally-approved military aid and pressuring a foreign country to dig up dirt on the Bidens. Trump and his blindly loyal Republican lackeys in Congress insist Trump's actions are not impeachable offenses and they point out that Trump did release the military aid. Uh-huh, and we now know Trump knew about the whistleblower complaint and the Congressional investigation before he released the aid. And when Trump told Sondland to say there is "no quid pro quo," he knew the whistleblower had already revealed there was a quid pro quo. Trump knew his actions could imperil his Presidency. He thought that by releasing the aid and saying "no quid pro quo" he could negate the potential damage. He thought wrong.

Sandy warned his boss at the Office of Management & Budget that Trump's withholding of Congressionally-approved military aid to Ukraine might be illegal. Of course we all know Emperor Trump is above the law. Sandy also revealed that two career OMB officials, one of whom who worked in the legal department, resigned because they were "frustrated" by Trump's actions.

Polls do not show impeachment "backfiring" for Democrats. In fact, a new poll released today shows 50% of Americans support Trump's impeachment and removal from office. Only 43% – the majority of whom are Republicans – do not want him removed. Unfortunately, Trump's blindly loyal supporters believe every lie he tells them. When he denounced the impeachment investigation as "bull****," they began chanting the word. They also chanted, referring to Hillary Clinton (who has not been charged with any crimes), "Lock her up!" Welcome to Trumpworld.

Presidential candidate Donald Trump came up with a goofy slogan to put on goofy red caps: "Make America Great Again." When was America great? He didn't say. What made America great? He didn't say. Why is America no longer great? He didn't say. And, as it's turned out, he's spent his entire Presidency trying to make himself great. Can you say "abuse of power"? I knew you could.
Analysis: New revelations put Trump on shakier ground
Witness testimony and news reports detailing the Ukraine scandal show how Trump and top officials maneuvered behind the scenes to block aid to the country as the President sought an investigation of his political rival Joe Biden.

"Look, who are you gonna believe, me – who, according to that corrupt, dishonest, fake news Washington Post, has told 13,600 lies since becoming President – or 12 longtime, respected, patriotic administration officials who gave sworn testimony in a House impeachment investigation? I know you'll do the right thing and believe me, okay? Read the transcript. On second thought, don't."
