AS the above story notes, Republicans are filing dozens of lawsuits in an effort to rig the election in Trump's favor. Thankfully, there are judges who want a fair election.

The Tweeter-In-Chief continues to claim – with zero evidence – that mail-in ballots allow for fraud and cheating. Now he's going a step further, predicting "violence in the streets." Of course if Biden wins the election, Trump will continue to say there was fraud and cheating, just as he explained his 2016 loss in the popular vote by falsely claiming as many as 5,000,000 illegal votes were cast.
Twitter, Facebook flag Trump post questioning Supreme Court voting decision
Reuters, Nov 2 2020 6:03 PM
Twitter and Facebook late today both flagged a post by President Donald Trump that called a Supreme Court decision on voting in Pennsylvania "very dangerous." The Supreme Court last week allowed extended deadlines for receiving mail-in ballots in Tuesday's election in Pennsylvania and North Carolina, states pivotal to Trump's re-election chances. The decision let stand a ruling by Pennsylvania's top court allowing mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day and received up to three days later to be counted.
"The Supreme Court decision on voting in Pennsylvania is a VERY dangerous one," Trump wrote in his post on both platforms. "It will allow rampant and unchecked cheating and will undermine our entire systems of laws. It will also induce violence in the streets. Something must be done!" Twitter added a disclaimer to Trump's tweet, saying that its content was "disputed" and "might be misleading."

The first election results are in! Wooh!
Joe Biden takes all 5 votes in tiny township that is
one of the first to announce results on Election Day
CNN, Nov 3 2020 12:25 AM ET
Former Vice President Joe Biden took all five of the votes cast for president in Dixville Notch, a tiny New Hampshire township along the US-Canada border that is among the first places in the country to make its presidential preference known. The ballots were cast in the minutes after midnight, becoming some of the first cast and counted on Election Day. By tradition, all eligible voters gather in the storied "Ballot Room" at The Balsams resort in Dixville Notch to cast their secret ballots once polls open at midnight. Once every ballot is cast, votes are tallied and results announced – hours before anywhere else.

Today is election day. More than 100,000,000 Americans voted early. In at least seven states, the number of votes cast has already exceeded the total in the 2016 Presidential election. And, of course, Republicans are still filing lawsuits in an effort to get Democratic votes thrown out.

CNN just projected Trump will win in Indiana. That gives him the first 11 electoral votes to be awarded.
This is going to be a very long night. :(
-
CNN is projecting Biden will win DC, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, Vermont and Rhode Island and Trump will win Indiana, Oklahoma and Kentucky. That will give Biden 30 electoral votes and Trump 26.
-
With projected wins in Tennessee and West Virginia, Trump now has 42 electoral votes. Biden has 30. Right now, with 50% of the vote in, Biden is leading Trump by 10.2 points in Ohio. CNN's John King says if Biden wins Ohio, Trump will no longer have a path to 270 electoral votes. No Republican has ever lost Ohio and won the Presidency.
-
Based on CNN's projections, Biden now has 80 electoral votes and Trump has 51. Nationwide, Biden now has 20,964,691 votes (48.4%) and Trump has 21,763,324 votes (50.3%). In Ohio, with 58% of the vote counted, Biden is leading Trump by four points. In Pennsylvania, with 18% of the vote counted, Biden leads Trump 67.6% to 29.9%
-
Biden now has 205 electoral votes to Trump's 136 – and if Biden wins all the states in which he's leading, he will wind up with 243 electoral votes and we will be stuck with four more years of the most hateful, racist, sexist, crooked, corrupt, immoral, unethical, deranged, demented, delusional, divisive, narcissistic, egotistical, self-serving, pompous blowhard who has ever lived.
Since April, every national poll had Biden beating Trump by anywhere from eight to 12 points. We have learned a valuable lesson: In 2024, don't pay any attention to polls. They are meaningless.

Crush of mail-in ballots slows count in 4 key states
CNN, Nov 4 2020 12:26 AM ET
Four key battleground states – Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan and Georgia – began Wednesday with tens of thousands of absentee ballots uncounted, leaving the White House race between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden up in the air. Election officials in some states called it a night and planned to resume the count in the morning, while some counties in Pennsylvania weren't even to start tabulating their mail-in votes until later Wednesday morning. The mail-in ballots, which smashed records this year as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, are expected to favor Biden, whose campaign encouraged Democrats to vote early, while in-person votes on Election Day may have given Trump an advantage.

Twitter labels an early Wednesday morning tweet from Trump as 'disputed'
CNN, Nov 4 2020 1:24 AM ET
Twitter placed a "disputed" label on a tweet sent just minutes ago by President Trump in which he baselessly claimed, "We are up BIG but they are trying to STEAL the Election." "Some or all of the content shared in this Tweet is disputed and might be misleading about how to participate in an election or another civic process," the Twitter label reads. Twitter has also restricted how the tweet can be shared. The same post was also posted to the President's Facebook page.

This is nerve-wracking! Eight states are still undecided. Biden has small leads in Arizona, Nevada, Michigan and Wisconsin. Trump is leading in Alaska, Georgia, Pennsylvania and North Carolina. Biden now has 227 electoral votes to Trump's 213. If Biden can win the four states in which he's ahead, he will have exactly 270 electoral votes. Nationally, Biden has 50.3% of the vote and Trump has 48.2%
-
CNN just called Wisconsin for Biden – and Trump is demanding a recount. With 99% of the vote in, Biden is leading by a little more than 20,000 votes. NBC is reporting that Trump has filed a lawsuit seeking to halt vote counting in Michigan, a state where Biden now leads by 37,000 votes. A United States President interfering in the election. Unbelievable! But for Donald Trump, it's typical.
-
CNN just projected Biden will win Michigan. Biden now has 253 electoral votes. Trump is now asking the Supreme Court to interfere in the election! He understands absolutely nothing about elections.......or democracy.
Trump campaign asking Supreme Court to intervene in Pennsylvania vote count
CNN, Nov 3 2020 3:58 PM ET
The Trump campaign is going to the Supreme Court, asking it to intervene in a pending case challenging a Pennsylvania Supreme Court decision that allowed ballots to be counted after Election Day. The justices refused to expedite the appeal before the election but they are still considering whether to take up the case. Donald Trump's attorneys filed a petition with the Supreme Court to insert the President personally as a party to the lawsuit that is currently pending.
The case involves a challenge to Pennsylvania's mail-in ballot deadline extension. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court is allowing for mail-in ballots to be accepted until 5 PM ET Friday, including ballots without a legible postmark. The Supreme Court deadlocked 4-4 in October, allowing the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruling to stand and did not grant an expedited review of the case in the days before the election. However, the Supreme Court is still deciding whether to take up the underlying case.
-
Arizona just updated its vote count. With 84% of the ballots counted, Biden leads Trump 50.7% to 47.9%, a margin of 79,173 votes. The race is going to come down to Nevada. Whichever candidate wins Nevada wins the Presidency. As for the following headline, heck, almost everything Trump has said in the past four years has been wrong.

The races in Alaska, Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, Pennsylvania and North Carolina still have not been called. The Trump campaign continues to file lawsuits. The latest is in Nevada. Trump claims to have "evidence" that many votes in Nevada came from dead people and nonresidents. Yeah, just like he claimed to have "evidence" that as many as five million illegal votes were cast in 2016.

After Trump lost the popular vote in 2016, he claimed – without evidence – that between three million and five million illegal votes were cast. (Presumably every one of them was for Hillary.) After taking office, Trump formed a Voter Fraud Commission to investigate. After finding no evidence of voter fraud, the commission disbanded. In 2020, Trump has been making the same claims of voter fraud – and, again, with zero evidence.
