Malone Still Seeking Common Ground for Liberty-Vodafone M&A
Thanks guys. Great link! Appreciate it! Sounds like Malone wants a deal but can't figure out a structure. Very strange, because Malone is the Media Master of Complex Deal Structures. Nobody else comes close. My bet is he comes up with something that works.
Can somebody please tell me how Netflix with an avalanche of competition is trading at 300 times 2016 eps and Sirius with practically zero competition is trading at 25 times 2016 eps??? You know what it tells me, Sirius needs an international expansion strategy in cars.
I think SXM17 may evolve one day into just that. If Sirius can get Sat and internet radio working together in cars in the US in 2017, tell me why they can't extend the internet portion in cars overseas? Tell me their superlative audio content wouldn't play well in Europe.........
Jim Meyer to Present at the Goldman Sachs 24th Annual Communacopia Conference
NEW YORK , Sept. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- SiriusXM today announced that Jim Meyer , Chief Executive Officer, is expected to present at the Goldman Sachs 24th Annual Communacopia Conference in New York on Thursday, September 17 , at approximately 10:30 am ET .
Rather short notice...wonder if they actually have any real news to report on.
Yep we may very well be. With all the video content companies now being valued on eps by Merrill because of the torrent of stock buybacks, can radio and cable be far behind? Who buys back more stock than Sirius? And Sirius actually has substantial growing eps to look at now as opposed to just a few years ago. FCF is obviously preferred, but eps is coming back into vogue for media on Wall Street. Stock buybacks make a difference.
