Americans knew almost nothing about the Mueller investigation until it was completed and the report was released. On the day after Mueller testified before Congress, Trump phoned Volodymyr Zelensky seeking political help. There were other people in the room and/or on the line when Trump made the call. Yes, witnesses. Mueller was unable to prove, or disprove, that Trump was guilty of obstruction of justice. The phone call is different. We all know Trump made the call, we know he withheld military aid then asked for a "favor" and we know he wanted foreign agents to dig up dirt on the man he could be running against in 2020. Trump, surprisingly, admitted all this.
The Mueller report probably didn't lead many people to think Trump should be impeached. Trump's solicitation of foreign interference in a US election, well, that's pretty clear-cut. It's a violation of his oath of office, it jeopardizes the fairness of a Presidential election and it poses a threat to national security. The number of Americans who believe Trump should be impeached is growing. Trump is already using the threat of impeachment as an issue in his campaign ads: "Don't let those angry, bitter, evil Democrats steal the election!" (I'm paraphrasing.) Trump's blindly loyal supporters – his "base" – will continue to worship him and defend him no matter what happens. A growing number of the rest of us want him impeached and removed from office before he can do further damage to our democracy.

Donald Trump is nicknamed "Teflon Don" for his ability to somehow survive every scandal, every bankruptcy, every lawsuit and every investigation. His luck may be running out. It looks increasingly likely that his tried-and-true tactic – "attack, deflect, disparage, discredit" – won't work this time.
For Trump, a high-velocity threat like none he's ever faced

Polls show Joe Biden easily defeating Emperor Trump in 2020 – so Trump withholds military aid from Ukraine, then implores Ukraine's President to dig up dirt on Biden and offers the assistance of his personal lawyer and the US Attorney General. Trump's solicitation of election interference is immoral, improper, inappropriate, underhanded, unethical, unConstitutional – and, as a new poll shows, not surprising. Americans know there is no limit to the depths Trump can sink to.

Republican leadership memo suggests Senate can't block trial if House votes to impeach
Yahoo News, Sep 29 2019 12:53 PM
As impeachment proceedings officially begin in the House, speculation has quickly turned to how they might end in the Senate. Republican leadership clarified that the Senate must take action if the lower chamber approves articles of impeachment against President Trump. "There is no way we could somehow bar the doors and prevent the managers from presenting the articles to the Senate," stated a GOP leadership memo reportedly obtained by HuffPost. "The rules of impeachment are clear on this point."
Articles of impeachment are drafted and voted on in the House, leading to a trial in the Senate. With a Republican majority in the Senate, at least 20 votes from Donald Trump’s own party would be required to reach the 67 necessary to remove him as president, assuming all Democrats and the two independents vote to convict.

Emperor Trump is accusing Adam Schiff of lying and wants him investigated for fraud and treason. Emperor Trump is accusing the whistleblower of spreading information that is "largely incorrect." Emperor Trump thinks there are spies in the White House. Emperor Trump is getting increasingly paranoid, deranged, delusional and out of control. Scott Pelley, co-host of 60 Minutes, just announced that CBS has a copy of a letter stating that the whistleblower fears for his life and is now under federal protection. Today on NBC's Meet The Press, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff said the Trump-Zelensky phone call may be "just the tip of the iceberg." He will lead an investigation of Trump's other phone calls with foreign leaders, Vladimir Putin in particular. Trump gives few details of what he and Putin have discussed in their 11 phone conversations. He swears his interpreters to secrecy and he doesn't allow anyone to take notes. What is Trump hiding? But his is the most transparent administration in US history. He says so. Meanwhile.....

An "executive guideline" prevents the Justice Department from indicting a sitting President, although such a rule is not in the Constitution, nor has the Supreme Court ever ruled on the matter. Nancy Pelosi wants Congress to pass legislation specifying that a sitting President can be indicted. A sitting President can be impeached, however. Trump insists soliciting another country's help in an election is perfectly okay. It isn't. And because he thinks he's done nothing wrong, he sees no need to prepare a defense of his actions.
