Me? A "political blowhard"? Thats some funny shit. You need to look in the mirror and stare into your own soul. You are the guy who repeats over and over again Republican mantras about gov't and taxes and just about everything else. You do not see yourself very clearly im afraid. I know i have strongly held beliefs but i am not as rigid as you seem to suggest. It was and is completely irrational and ignorant to have repeated the lies about President Obama being a Socialist, which you have done in the past. So Obama phobic are you that you cant even give him any credit for making the right call on the auto industry.
I on the other hand am critical of him in some situations and complementary of him in other situations. I would say thats what you call moderate and balanced.
Lets at least raise a glass to SXM doing so very well.
P.S. I was curious if you were in favor of Boeher's position on the debt limit?

I thought if you typed shit, it would xxxxx it out?
As for my politics, I am a non party affiliate. I am beholden to neither party's agenda. Why do I have to repeat that to you time and time again? I do believe in free enterprise and the opportunity it presents to people like your grandfather. I also believe that government does need to provide a contextual framework to ensure the safety of employees and ensure that we are all good stewards of the earth. I do believe that robust commerce increases the tax base, and government should work toward increasing commerce in the USA, I believe in minding my own business, and personal responsibilty. If you want to label these beliefs as "republican", I can't stop you.
To be clear, what I have said about Obama and all democrats, is that if left without any checks and balances, they will move further and further to the left, and that is troubling to me. Obama is not a socialist. I personally appreciated the governments bailout of the auto companies. That should be clear. Comparitive to other spending measures, it wasn't much, and it really did help keep many middle Americans employed.
Boehner's "demand" for $2 Trillion is too high - unrealistic without true reform. I hope the debate really does get results, but sense that it will be ugly. Something has to give.
Found a link regarding Boehner's position. Give it a look.

I know you have said many times that you are not a party affiliate, and as you describe yourself above you sound like a right leaning moderate, but its in the arguing here over various issues that i have come to see you as espousing mostly Republican positions. Can you name the policy agreements you have with the Obama administration besides the auto industry bailout. Glad to hear that you think Obama isnt a Socialist. You have dropped that "word" however in the past and said some other nasty things about him.
You say Obama would take the country"further and further to the left" without checks and balances. So where would he have ended up? in Marxism, Lerninism? He is a fairly mainstream left leaning Democrat in my opinion.
Where would Republicans bring this country if left unchecked?
By the way, Peter Schiff is a Republican and a right leaning one at that.

To answer your two questions; a picture is worth a 1000 words.

Remember how I posted those quizzes? I checked out centrist on almost all of them. What to do it again?
-
If you are a centrist then I'm a chemistry teacher. A hint: i have never taken a day of Chemistry in my life (not proud just truthful)
If your a centrist you should be fairly happy with Obama. Just read the left leaning wing websites to understand my point.
P.S. One of these days when i have time i will try to find a couple of comments that i remember you making about President Obama that i thought were pretty distasteful and indicative of a right wing point of view.
Are you a fan of Trump?
Were you a fan of Trump?
Still would like to get a figure from you in the hyperinflation discussion.

You know you can delete a post.
Trump? There was a glint of interest.
All I am telling you is that the quizzes say I'm a centrist. Honestly. I'll do this one.

About Trump: I knew you would like him. But i think there was probably more than a glint. lol. Come on you can admit it. You love businessmen You think they can govern the gov't best. Correct? Do you have a glint of embarassement now huh? :)
I absolutely loved the way President Obama cut him to pieces at the Correspondence dinner. Trump is not a quality individual in my opinion. To spit on De Niro, Seinfeld, Obama, in that way that he did shows a total lack of class.
My quiz says you AINT NO DAMN centrist. Thats New Yorkese.

Results are in.
0.4 of 10 to the economic right (far right is +10, far left is -10)
-2.3 of 10 to the libertarian (far authoritative is +10, far libertarian -10).
Just like I said.
-
Stayed away from talking about Trump huh? Some egg on your face with that Birther and education qualification shit. Like i said, a serious lack of CLASS.
Just like i said you AINT NO DAMN CENTRIST! lol
Thats for damn sure.
You would be Praising Obama much more if you were.
