i guess i don't see how it is worth more as a certificate, other than a piece of artwork you sell on ebay, or as wallpaper if it becomes worthless, or are you guys thinking they will come out of BK and my share will still be ok as is? So does that mean his initial transaction date doesn't matter??... transaction date = day presented to a licensed transfer agent.

so when does a share become worthless? only when a company halts all operations? so if i feel that they will emerge a better company to be profitable again one day and the stock price will rise then i should just stay long on the position

More then likely, when a company goes into chapter 11; they wipe out the common stock.

This allows them to sell new shares and raise capital and trade shares for debt.

Come on.... when a company goes into BK ..... and, your invested in it,.... you made a mistake.... If your thinking of investing in a company that is about to go into BK, your stupid.....

I'm sorry,.... I was going to go to bed, but this conversation about BK in ANY company is keeping me from my soft pillow.... BK in any shape or form is a loser to a Share Holder.... Do Not Invest in a company that you believe is going into BK.... PERIOD If you do, NEVER Post here again......just kidding....
