Hey, what's with the 10,000,000 share buy hanging out there on EVFL? MM is ARCA, popped up at 2:38 p.m. Interesting.
Porcelain cracks too easy. and if you are close to the edge with a grinder it will shatter. It is really hard, but brittle stuff. I was using a true 1/4" tile. Once it is down though, it will last forever. It is some really beautiful tile (Brown/Blue/Black/Grey all throughout). Beautiful tile job by the way also! :)
The plumbing is next for my steam shower and then the new tub, vanity, sink, faucet, vent, steam shower door, durock (required in a steam shower) vapor barrier, Red Dog, tile in the shower surround, countertop and some mud work and texturing and some electrical and lighting....oh ya, and a new toilet.
There is a lot to do, but I finally got started.
lol bills like this this this this that this that and this and that oh and yea this like basiclly talking about the best bathroom ever!
what a bragger :) lol (j/k)
yay done work!!
Hey Tony that sounds so familiar. Evrything I own, miggle, bcle, qasp and behl have dropped after I bought in and is still down a little. I'm not worried, I just bought on the wrong run up, they will run again. Miggle is the one I'm down the most on, about 1.5K. I know it's not that much compared to others but I entered into this with about 5.5K trying to build on that. Did good with siri, now I need these other dogs to run. ruff ruff
Bill, I hope to start renovating both my bathrooms by the end of the year, one at a time ofcourse. my house is about 40 yrs old and the bathrooms are fairly original so we are talking complete tear outs. Looking forward to it, I seem to learn something new on every project I do and the best thing I've ever learned is have the right tools and materials, don't half ass it.
Geek, the right tools are so important. I only buy the best tools, no matter what they cost, because in the long run they will hold up and do the job right. Materials are important also. If you need help with materials or anything else, you will be comforted to know that Tony, Ray, Tib and myself all know the game very very well. There is a lot of help here for you. ;)
Bill!!!!
I need to remodel all three of my showers/baths...Ugly...ass...plain...white tile...you know...the cheapest of the cheap!
I did the floors myself...looks good...hope it sticks!!!!!
Shit is expensive! $2500 for main shower...$1200 per bathtub! How does that sound to you! Plus...i buy materials!!!
Hope your wife appreciates your hard work! Just hand a glass of Makers...she'll love what you have done!
BTW- up 4K on SiriusXM! Woohoo!!! Now...if mglg and bcle would just cooperate!
Geek
Ed Reed is a stud!!!! Defense...awesome...Offensive...just plains sucks!
Can't root for the purple Cleveland Raven's!hahahahah
Bill speaks the truth! I am in the midst of a renovation of two apartment buildings (35 units...6 commercial and 29 apartments) and -- while I have contractors that are doing the work-- I have learned from the best that what Bill just said is the absolute gospel.
I have seen it in action.
I'm also learning a ton about renovating, Bill. I've always done minor to mid-level jobs around my house, but left the big stuff to people who know more than I do.
When we finish the buildings (3 months), I will feel better about tackling some of the bigger jobs after what I have learned.
