"We are consulting closely with the U.S. government in conjunction with our restructuring," AIG spokeswoman Christina Pretto told Reuters.

Officials at the Treasury Department and Federal Reserve did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The government rescued AIG in September with a loan from the Federal Reserve, as the insurer faced a cash crunch from losses on securities tied to mortgages. AIG has also received a capital infusion from the Treasury Department's Troubled Asset Relief Program. Then the lineup begins - ABK , a mortgage and security insurer gets in line. This could be a good thing for ABK. I am willing to bet that AIG gets its way, because the mortgage and security insurers just got slammed with regulation last Friday and that is what caused the mortgage and insurers to take a drop. I am willing to bet that they get the help they want and AIG and ABK will climb fast....any thoughts on that anybody? I think ABK would win over AIG as far as profit goes. ABK is all ready bullish.

Ray, what do you think? Or anybody?

I think Im good on AIB....but thinking about AIG.... I only have about $2200 left to play with so I want to use it wisly....You will be home and so will I.. so we can keep close tabs on what going on a make some smart moves!

Ya, it will be an exciting day. I hope the market goes down on Monday! Down is good for investors. I know that is contrarian, but like you say, buy cheap and sell high. We are in the buying mode so down is good for right now. It only works to our advantage to when it goes up.

Question: You said that AIB gives a dividend of how much??

I tell ya, what made up for missing the Stevie Ray concert, was going to the Pink Floyd show, last tour they ever did, and best show ever!!!

Funny thing, just went in to check my NOG, and I did not notice the spike right at the end of trading on Friday. I did notice when it dropped at the close on Thursday thought lol.

I will check out NOG....I am in the research mode and in the mode of pissing people off. God is looking out for me. I wrote a full page statement to the people that are hanging after losing big money with SIRI and it screwed up and didn't post. It was harsher than Tripp's post in "Sweaty Palms".
